“On the CASE” Notes
Your Step-by-Step Guide

1.  Fill a Stampin’ Spritzer with rubbing alcohol. Add a few drops of Blackberry Bliss reinker.  Add more drops, if necessary, to reach the intensity of color you would like. Spritz the Kraft Pillow box until covered. Set aside and allow to dry completely.

2.  Ink the “Have a” sentiment with Versamark and stamp onto Basic Black cardstock. Repeat with the “Happy Halloween” sentiment, selectively inking only the word “Halloween”.  Heat emboss with Whisper White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Tip:  Dust the cardstock lightly with an embossing buddy to prevent speckling.

3.  Ink the spider web image with Versamark, and stamp in the upper left corner of the dry pillow box.  Heat emboss with Whisper White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Halloween Pillow Box4.  Die cut the word “Wicked” from Silver Glimmer Paper.

5.  Add a few loops of Silver Metallic Thread behind “Have a” and adhere to the pillow box as shown. Next adhere the word “Wicked” and the other half of the sentiment.

6.  Accent with 5 silver sequins.

Grateful for You Card for PP462

Do you have someone in your life for whom you are truly grateful? Why not let them know with a “Grateful for You” card, such as this one? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Grateful for You cardThis week it is the lovely Joanne’s turn to host our monthly Theme Challenge.  She has selected a theme so appropriate for this time of year: Grateful, Thankful for You.  I hope you enjoy the “Grateful for You” card I have created.

Grateful for You cardThe Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card is a confection of leaves created with the Gathered Leaves dies.  The sentiment, which was inked in Pretty Peacock and stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock,  is from the Country Home stamp set.  It seemed perfect for this week’s challenge.  Crumb Cake and Pretty Peacock card stock, as well as Copper Foil, were used to make the different styles and sizes of leaves which were arranged on either side of the sentiment.

grateful for you cardThe background was created by washing Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze inks over the surface of water color paper.  It’s so easy, and creates a soft and pretty backdrop for the leaves.  A trio of Pretty Peacock rhinestones and a bow created from Copper Trim were all that were needed as embellishments.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

This is one of my favorite designs for a gift card holder. I am not certain who first created this style, as it has been around for years.  I am sure that its longevity is due to its versatility. By simply switching out the paper, sentiment and embellishments, you can use it for any occasion.  Another great feature is that you could very easily create a coordinating card to go with it.

gift card holderFor this gift card holder, I went with a more elegant look. The centers of the flowers, on both the front and the back, were accented with Gold Metallic Pearls. The Petal Pink Striped Organdy Ribbon, which coordinates perfectly with the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper, makes beautiful double bows.  Isn’t the Gold Glitz Delicata Ink pretty? It gives a look similar to heat embossing without the fuss!
