For my choices, I actually made an X.  Fall, die cuts, pumpkins AND leaves, die-cut, patterned paper.  I hope you enjoy today’s card!

OK…I won’t fib. I LOVE the Gathered Leaves dies. The leaf die cuts, when created from fall colored card stock, make the perfect focal point.  On today’s card, they are nestled on a Stitched Shapes circle die cut created from the Wood patterned designer paper found in the Come To Gather collection. Pumpkins, colored with Stampin’ Blends, complete the  scene.

Tall & Skinny Holiday Card for PP460

Looking for something a little different to send to family and friends this holiday season?  How about a tall and skinny holiday card? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

tall skinny holiday cardThis week, the awesome Claire  is hosting a sketch challenge. Not only is there a wonderful sketch to follow, there is the added requirement that it should be a tall and skinny card. How fun is that! I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The “WOW” on today’s card comes from the fabulous Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Paper.   The touches of copper in the designs lend such an elegance.

tall skinny holiday cardAlthough the circle in the sketch could be any shape, I opted to keep it as a circle to serve as a backdrop for one of my favorite die cuts, this deer from the Detailed Deer collection. I have always been captivated by the leaping deer, with its somewhat Art Deco lines.  He is stunning cut from copper foil to coordinate with the designer paper.

tall skinny holiday cardThree Pretty Peacock rhinestones were all that were needed as accents.  Of course, the inside can be stamped with the greeting of your choice.
