Stamp Review Crew: Good Morning Magnolia Edition

It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Good Morning Magnolia Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop, whenever you want.

This week we are featuring the Good Morning Magnolia set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from the amazing Charlet Mallett.  Isn’t her work awesome!  After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the talented Mary Haugen.  I loves what she does. Be prepared to be inspired as you travel along on today’s hop!

Good Morning Magnolia Card

Making it easy! I used a Magnolia Lane Memories & More kraft card base, cut down to 5-1/2″ wide for my card base. And that gorgeous magnolia paper? It’s from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack!

good morning magnoliaFocus on the focal point! The small magnolia blossom was colored using Light & Dark Petal Pink, Light & Dark Mossy Meadow, and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  The Mossy Meadow leaves were die cut with dies from the Magnolia Memory Dies collection.  The Magnolia Lane Cork Embellishment was so easy to stamp on.  What great texture!

A few finishing touches, like rhinestones, Clear Wink of Stella, and a Mossy Meadow Baker’s Twine bow are all that are needed to complete this card.

If the above card is a little too fussy for you, here is one I created a few months ago which is clean and simple.

Clean and Simple Hello CardDetails for the card above can be found HERE.

Now hop along to Mary to see what she has in store for you!  If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of all the hoppers at The Stamp Review Crew.  Until next time…

Floral Card in Blues and Green for PP450

A floral card in blues and green was created using a trio of gorgeous colors.  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

floral-card blues greenThis week, the lovely LeAnne has a beautiful color challenge for us. When I saw these colors, I immediately thought of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper collection.  I hope you enjoy today’s floral card in blues and green.

Isn’t this designer paper breathtaking? It coordinates perfectly with the colors of the challenge.  The Balmy Blue flower and Granny Apple Green leaves were created using the Floral Essence stamp set.  Isn’t it great to have coordinating punches for both of these images!

Pickup Truck Christmas Card

Ready to get started on this year’s stash of Christmas cards?  Today’s cute pickup truck Christmas card is ready to deliver holiday cheer!  Welcome to Festive Friday, where we are celebrating Parent’s Day with a Watercolor twist!  I went with the twist.

pickup truck Christmas cardI am so happy Stampin’ Up! came out with a new pickup truck set.  Ride with Me is an adorable set, complete with pumpkins, balloons, and a tree to haul in the back.  It includes sentiments for birthdays, encouragement, fall, and Christmas, making it a very versatile set. Because I need to get started on my holiday cards, I opted to create a Christmas card. I hope you enjoy it!

Stampin’ Blends are our friends! I used the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to create the frosty winter sky.  Dark Real Red shaded with Dark Smoky Slate was used for the truck. Light Balmy Blue was used for the window, and of course, Dark Basic Black is the perfect color for the tires. As for the tree, what could be better than Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends?

pickup truck Christmas cardAll that glitters! To lend a frosty feel, a tree was die cut from Sparkle glimmer paper using a die from the In the Woods collection.  A strip of Sparkle glimmer paper forms the roadway.  Snowy hills were created simply by tearing strips of Whisper White cardstock.

pickup truck Christmas cardThe sentiment says it all! What could be more appropriate for a pickup truck Christmas card than a sentiment which says, “Wishing you loads of Christmas cheer!”  It was punched out with the Timeless Label punch, then trimmed down.

pickup truck Christmas cardThe gingham paper from Stampin’ Up!’s  Annual Catalog is one of my favorites, and is available in all colors as part of the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper Stacks.
