Would you like to create a child’s Santa card for a special little someone this season? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week the talented Joanne is hosting our monthly Clean and Simple challenge. Her task for us is to create a Clean and Simple card for kids. Since it’s never to early to get a head start on those holiday cards, I decided to create a child’s Santa card. Enjoy this peek at the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set and Night Before Christmas designer paper…both available on September 4th!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Clean and Simple cards have minimal layers and embellishments, plenty of open space, and are simple and uncluttered. While there are no traditional embellishments on this card, there is lots of texture to add interest. The Very Vanilla background has been embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D embossing folder. It’s symbolic of the chimney and fireplace Santa scrambles down in order to leave toys for the good girls and boys.
I couldn’t resist adding “fur” using Stampin’ Up!’s new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. It created a vision that I am sure any child will love. What do you think?

Perfect card for any and every age! Your coloring is phenomenal. Love the ‘fur!’
You had me at that puffy paint trim! Wowza, Ann! And here I thought I didn’t need this stamp set and then you made it come to life with this amazing card. Amazing, my friend!
Love this card, Ann. The background DSP is so bright, but it doesn’t detract from your fabulously colored Santa and sack. The white “chimney” helps break up the pattern and give the Santa the space he needs to shine. Love it

You can never go wrong with Santa! I love the embossing background, your coloring and the puffy paint! Sure to bring a big smile to anyone that receives this FUN card! Have a wonderful weekend, My Friend! XX
Forget the children, I love this card Ann!! A beautifully coloured jolly Santa, the brickwork and plaid and puffy fur on his suit – how awesome is this?!
First words out of mouth when I saw your card was “perfect!” Perfect with the brick embossing, perfect with the plaid and perfect coloring, of course! I have the puff paint on my next order to try..thanks for the inspiration!
Fabulous coloring, Ann! And, the Puff Paint fur on Santa’s suit is a great addition! The brick background is perfect too! Love it!
That’s a lovely, cheerful santa and I love how you’ve added the puff paint details. The brick embossing and designer paper frame set him off perfectly!
Oh I love christmas cards! Your santa is too cute and that paper is just a perfect background!
Such a cute card that any child would love.
You do such beautiful coloring; something that I never did like to do, even as a child was to sit down and color. I was too much of a tomboy I guess.
Enjoy your day as ‘Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day.’
LOVE all the texture details you added (embossing, puff paint, etc.)! Makes it so extra special and it really is a WOW Christmas card!
Such a cute Santa and colored so perfectly!
Great card. I don’t think I have seen anyone use this stamp yet and so happy you did. Just so wonderfully colored. Great details and that plaid is great with the brick EF.
What a cute card for a child of any age…I mean, I love Santa too! LOL! Wonderfully colored and the backgrounds are perfect!
This is such a cute card, Ann. As soon as I saw the Santa Suit, I knew I need the Puff Paint! I received my brick and mortar EF yesterday and can’t wait to use it!
