In “case” this is your first “On the CASE” visit, here is the scoop: Twice a month, on the first and third Wednesdays, we will be CASEing a card from one of Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs. CASE means to Copy and Share with Everyone, and that is exactly what we will be doing. We hope you enjoy the cards we CASE and the free tutorials included in our posts. It’s time for On the CASE: Beautiful Bouquet Sentiment.
On the CASE: Beautiful Bouquet Sentiment
Annual Catalog – Page 92 (set), Page 94 (card)
One of the things I love about the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set is the wonderful selection of sentiments. The sentiment, “I couldn’t have picked a better friend than you”, was absolutely perfect for a card I needed to make. What better card to CASE than this gorgeous Tranquil Tide beauty! What a wonderful card to send out to special friends after the holiday to let them know how much they are loved and appreciated. I hope you will give this card a try!

“On the CASE” Notes
Your Step-by-Step Guide
1. Score the Tranquil Tide cardstock at 5-1/2″ to form the card base.
2. Emboss the front of the card using the Oh My Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
3. Using SNAIL adhesive, attach the paper doily to the Vellum cardstock. Adhere this to the card front, placing the SNAIL under the doily so it is hidden from view.
4. Selectively ink the sentiment using a Tranquil Tide Stampin’ Write marker. Stamp onto Whisper White cardstock.
5. Create an oval using the second largest Stitched Shapes oval.
6. Use the Friend Lovely Words Thinlit to create the word from Tranquil Tide cardstock.
Snip away the circle. Adhere to the sentiment oval. Complete the sentiment by selectively inking the words “than you”.
7. Snip out two images using the pattern shown from the Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper Stack. Position as shown, and adhere to the doily.
8. Using a Fine Tip Glue Pen, attach the Touches of Nature Elements. Pop the oval onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
9. Send to a friend!
How Hard Was It to Crack This CASE
If you love fussy cutting like I do, this card is a breeze. There is selective inking involved. Just make sure to position the die cut, and clean and dry your stamp before continuing with the final two words. Difficulty Level: 3 out of 5
Nicole and I hope our projects today inspire you to try CASEing the catalog, too! We’ll be “on the case”, looking for the hashtag #SUontheCASE on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ & Pinterest). If we find one of your projects, we’ll share it, like it, repost it – we’ll do it all!
