Let It Ride – A Retiring Favorite

All good things must come to an end, and so it is with the 2019 – 2020 Annual Catalog.  On the bright side though, there is still time to order your retiring favorites before they are gone for good.  Let’s take a look at Retiring Favorite stamp set, Let It Ride.  This card also features another retiring favorite, the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.

Let It Ride Retiring Favorite

This set was first featured on my blog on April 19, 2019.  The original post is located HERE.

Pink Poppies Thank You Card For PP490

Pink poppies on a thank you card? Why not? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

pink poppy thank you card

The lovely Claire is hosting our color challenge this week, and what a delightful trio of colors she has selected for us:  Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party.  These colors just scream spring, don’t you think? I decided to ink up some pink poppies. I can’t wait to see what you create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

When I think of poppies, I always think of think of red. In specific Stampin’ Up! terms, they would be glorious  orange-red Poppy Parade poppies. However, I decided to step outside the box and create a trio of Melon Mambo hued blossoms on today’s fun card. Paired with Granny Apple Green leaves and a Pool Party background, they are like a fresh breath of spring air.

Silver metallic threads peek out from behind the label, while frosted epoxy droplets and clear rhinestones add even more sparkle.

Humorous Hello Card for The Paper Players

There is an old saying that laughter is the best medicine. If that is so, how about a dose of a humorous hello card? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

humorous hello card

It’s the talented  Joanne’s turn to host our monthly theme challenge.  She has selected “Cards That Make You Smile!”  How much fun is that? I went with one of the few humorous sets I have in my stash, Stampin’ Up!’s “We’ll Walrus Be Friends”.  The walrus images are so cute, and are sure to brighten anyone’s day. This is one of the sets which will be leaving us this June. You can see the complete retirement lists later in today’s post.  I hope you enjoy today’s card. As for me, I can’t wait to see what you create!

Colors of the Day

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

An adorable walrus floating on ice is the focal point of this card.  Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends were used to color in my critter, while a Light Pool Party Blend was used to outline him and color the water.  If my ice looks sparkly, it’s because it has a layer of glitter on top.  Blue rhinestones are used as accents.

humorous hello card

The little fish which adorn the sentiment were colored with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut out. The adorable striped banner was created from a pattern in the Come Sail Away designer series paper collection, which is retiring.  And that awesome textured background? That’s the High Seas 3D embossing folder.  Sadly, it is leaving us, too.
