How about a Stained Glass Easter card? It’s Sunday, and time to play with the Paper Players!

Stained Glass Easter CardThe Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Coloring with Stampin’ Blends is fun and easy. I used the brush ends of the selected colors and colored on the wrong side of the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum.  The Four Panel pattern can be trimmed down to three panels, and it fits perfectly on the card front.

Stained Glass Easter cardI added Clear Wink of Stella on the front of the vellum, adding sparkle to those sections which had not been colored.  I also accented each blossom with clear rhinestones.

Stained Glass Easter cardBasic Black Shimmer Ribbon adds even more subtle sparkle.  Photographs do not capture the sparkle of the Wink of Stella, but it is gorgeous when paired with the ribbon and the rhinestones.

Stamps: Well Said Bundle (Includes the Well Written framelits), Incredible Like You
Paper: Copper Foil ( 3″ x 2″), Pool Party cardstock (3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″), Whisper White Thick Cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″), Whisper White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, 2″ x 3″)
Inks: Berry Burst, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy, Pool Party, Soft Suede,
Other: Big Shot,  Stitched Rectangle Thinlits, Well Written Thinlits,  Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack – 1/8″ Very Vanilla/Copper, Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels,  Fine-Tip Glue Pen, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals

“On the CASE” Notes
Your Step-by-Step Guide

1.  Score the Whisper White thick cardstock at 4-1/4″ to form the card base.  Fold and crease using a bone folder.

2.  Stamp the Pool Party flowers onto the 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock in the positions illustrated below.  Overstamp with Granny Apple Green leaves.  Stamp the stems in Soft Suede.  Add the Berry Burst blossoms. Stamp the Pool Party Circles as shown.

thank you card with flowers3.  Ink the solid Background Blossom image in Daffodil Delight, and stamp onto Whisper White cardstock. Ink the detailed Overlay Blossom image and stamp over the background image.  Repeat. Snip out and adhere to the card base as shown in the finished picture.

4. Add a piece of Very Vanilla/Copper ribbon across the front of the stamped panel, and adhere on the back.  Next, adhere the stamped panel onto the front of the card base.

5.  Die cut the 3-3/16″ x 1-13/16″ Stitched Rectangle from Pool Party cardstock.

6.  Die cut the words “thanks” and “you” from Copper Foil.  Adhere to the Pool Party Rectangle using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.

7. In the words “SENDING” and “TO” in Night of Navy ink. Stamp onto the Pool Rectangle as shown in the photo.

Thank You card with flowers8.  Add the Pool Party rectangle to the card base using dimensionals.

9.  Because I had to cover up an ink smear, I added rhinestones.

Looking for a friendship card? Ready for lots of layers?  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

friendship cardThis week, the talented Joanne has a very versatile sketch for us.  I love that you can keep this sketch relatively clean, or that you can add a layered focal point.  I went all out and layered flowers and leaves.  I hope you enjoy today’s card.

Stampin’ Up!® has so many wonderful floral sets, sometimes it’s hard to decide which one to use. I have been wanting to ink up the Beautiful Promenade set from the Annual Catalog for a long time.  I was sold on it from the moment I saw Shelli demonstrate it.  But other sets just kept finding their way to my table…especially as we entered the Holiday Catalog season. (Let’s face it – no one does Christmas better than Stampin’ Up!) After the holidays, the Occasions catalog made its appearance, and I just HAD to play with the awesome new goodies.  Well, Beautiful Promenade…today is your day!!!

friendship cardThe flowers were inked in Grapefruit Grove.  I used a Sponge Dauber to add the Daffodil Delight centers.  All of the foliage was die cut using the Beautiful Layers thinlits, as was the Whisper White geometric doily.

friendship cardI stamped a few Coastal Cabana triangles on the Smoky Slate designer paper to add a touch of color, and then I heat embossed sections with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder® to add some texture and shine.

friendship cardThe sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon is a perfect accent, as is the cut out border.  It’s part of the Beautiful Layers thinlits collection, which comes with the Beautiful Promenade bundle.
