Layered Thank You Card for PP430

How about a layered thank you card today? It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

layered thank you cardThis week I have the honor of hosting our sketch challenge. Of course, you know me and layers. I couldn’t resist a multilayered sketch. Although it may look tricky, I give you all of the dimensions I used to create my card in a free tutorial.  Let’s take a look at some of the details!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

One of the fun things I like to do is mix patterns. Although I’m not brave enough to do it with my clothing, I love mixing designer paper patterns. One the keys is to watch the scale of the patterns and to tie them all together with color.  I LOVE the patterns in the Painted Season Designer Series Paper.  (This paper is part of the Painted Seasons bundle, which is available as a Sale-A-Bration item.)

layered thank you cardSometimes I get into a rut, always stamping an image onto Whisper White or Very Vanilla. However, the Poppy Parade blossom is so much softer when stamped onto Petal Pink.

layered thank you cardRather than a stamped sentiment, I went with a die cut Early Espresso “thanks”.  The Well Written framelit collection is awesome!

layered thank you cardI am always in need of thank you cards.  I can’t wait to send this one out!

A Cute Thank You Card for Festive Friday

cute thank you cardWho doesn’t love a cute thank you card…especially when created with such fun designer paper!  That is what I set out to create for this week’s Festive Friday challenge! As you can see, I opted for the Glimmer Paper twist of the challenge.

Lovely layers and a fabulous focal point are the hallmarks of this card, which was created using the stamp set and designer paper from the Painted Seasons Sale-A-Bration bundle.  Two fronds were stamped: one in Poppy Parade and one in Mango Melody. For the leaves, I used a sponge dauber to sponge on Lemon Lime Twist and Mango Melody.  The big plus is that there is no fussy cutting needed! March 1st, Stampin’ Up! is releasing Painted Season framelits that will coordinate with the Painted Season stamp set. How cool is that!

cute thank you cardYou may have noticed the sentiment is “shadowed”.  It was first stamped in Poppy Parade, then it was inked up a second time in Early Espresso, and stamped slightly off to the left.  The awesome punch is the Story Label punch, which will be available March 1st.

cute thank you cardTo layer it, I simply punched a second label from glimmer paper.  This label was cut in half horizontally and adhered to the back of the sentiment label.

cute thank you cardA Poppy Parade bow and a few rhinestones complete the look!  For all the details on today’s cute thank you card,  just click on the tutorial button below to receive your own FREE tutorial, which you can either save or print off.  Don’t forget to visit the 2019 PDF Tutorial Gallery  for more free tutorials.

Stamp Review Crew: Butterfly Gala

Butterfly gala cardIt’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Butterfly Gala Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop, whenever you want.

This week we are featuring the Butterfly Gala set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from the amazing Stesha Bloodhart.  Her work blows me away! After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the talented Charlet Mallett.  I always loves what she does. Be prepared to be inspired as you travel along on today’s hop!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

As many of you are aware, the Butterfly Gala bundle is currently unavailable. It was so overwhelmingly popular, that Stampin’ Up! temporarily sold out of the punch!  However, it will be back later this spring.  Plus, it will be carried over into the Annual Catalog.  Woo hoo!

I have always LOVED butterflies, so I am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! is once again offering a butterfly set.  I find butterflies are perfect for accenting sentiments and flowers.  For watercoloring today’s beauties, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight were the inks of choice.  Of course, I just had to accent them with Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.

butterfly gala cardIsn’t the trellis die cut the perfect backdrop?

butterfly galaThe incredible Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a showstopper. This embossing folder is one of the Sale-A-Bration second release items.  It’s FREE with a $50 purchase.  I used sponge daubers and a variety of inks to add a hint of color.  Once again, pearls made the perfect accents. The details can be found in today’s free pdf tutorial.

butterfly gala cardAlthough it does not show up in the picture, Wink of Stella was used to give all of the flowers and embossed dots a subtle sheen.
