Dramatic with an oriental vibe is one way to describe today’s red, black and gold thank you card. It’s time for another Festive Friday challenge!
For this week’s challenge, we are inspired by the Chinese New Year. Remember – at Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I used red, gold, foil paper, banners, and flowers on my card this week. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
When I viewed the inspiration list for this week’s challenge, I knew I would be somewhat limited. I did not have a single ox, dragon, lantern, fish or coin image. SO, I turned my sight onto what was left, and focused on red, gold, foil paper and flowers. Everything came together easily after that point. To fulfill the flower aspect, I inked up the large Art Gallery blossom, and added the gilding. A gold foil banner added more gold to the card, as did the Golden Garden designer acetate paper.
The sentiment was stamped in black, die cut with one of the Floral Gallery dies, and matted onto Gold Foil. A few Gilded Gems, a Gold Hoop, and a sheer Real Red bow were added as accents.

What a very striking card Ann! I love that the background ties in with the gold-tipped embossing on the flowers. Such a great card for this sketch! Now, how many Boxers do you have? My dog that passed away was named Muffy too.
