After what seems like an eternity away from stamping, I’m back with an any occasion card. It’s time for another Festive Friday challenge!
This week we are celebrating National Library Worker Week. However, at Festive Friday you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I selected insects, foil and pens from the Inspo List in creating today’s card. I hope you will join us in our challenge this week. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
With ten puppies in the house, it’s hard to find the time and inspiration to stamp. However, I had so much fun creating this spring card. It uses paper from the Ornate Garden Suite, an early release from the upcoming Annual Catalog. (Details about this suite can be found later in today’s post.) I used Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers, giving them Daffodil Delight centers. The leaves are Mint Macaron, and the background is Pool Party. All of that yummy texture was created using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.
The pen from the Crafting Forever stamp set was heat embossed in gold, and colored with Stampin’ Blends, as were the butterflies from Butterfly Gala. Champagne Rhinestones and a Mint Macaron bow are the perfect accents. Of course, I have included all of the details on how to make this card in the free PDF tutorial.

Farewell, Babies!
Part of my lack of creativity these past few days is due to the fact my babies are leaving. The Party of Ten puppies are heading to their forever homes. Heaven knows these ten were a ton of work, but they rewarded me with love, snuggles and puppy kisses. In this trying time, they were a bright spot in my day. They will be my last litter for a variety of reasons. One is my age. I am too old for all that raising a litter entails. Plus there is the emotional investment. I am already crying, as six puppies head out the door this weekend. My emotions are raw due to lack of sleep and health worries about the “Twins”. Brody sleeps more deeply these days, and there are times when I can hardly awaken him. But he is still eating and drinking, and is in no pain. I know, in my heart of hearts, that I will be facing difficult decisions for both of my Twins, having just recently discovered a lump under Muffy’s chin. As per my vet’s advice, we have put off removing it due to the pandemic. I am monitoring it, and if it grows or changes, we will schedule surgery. The circle of life continues as new lives enter and old friends prepare to leave.
Goodby, babies. Run free. Play hard. And know that you will always have a piece of my heart…
As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Gorgeous card! Love the texture and layers. The pen and sentiment are perfect.
So sad to hear the health news of the Twins. My best wishes for their continued well being.
Ann, your card really glows! I love the rich colours and those gorgeous touches of gold.
I was really moved by your pupdate. Our dogs give us so much don’t they, whether or not they’re ‘ours’. You have given those pups the very best start in life and they will be fine when they go off to their forever homes, but of course you can’t help getting emotionally invested. I’m so sorry to hear that the twins have health issues too, that must be a big worry. Take care Ann. Vicky x
Oh, I hadn’t scrolled down far enough the first time to see the Pup-date. The little puppies look amazing. How bitter sweet. I know you gave them a fabulous start to their sweet lives. I’m sorry to hear about the Twins. Wishing them both continued strength and wellness.
Stunning!
What a gorgeous card! Colors are just fabulous together. Thanks you for taking us on the puppy journey with you. I would never have been able to let them going. Hope you are doing OK. Sending Hugs your way.
Hi Ann, Your card is beautiful. I’m looking forward to making a card using the Ornate Garden suite. The puppies look all so healthy and adorable. I understand why it’s so difficult to let them go. They are going to have good families thanks to you for taking such good care to of them. I am also sorry to hear that the Twins are not feeling well. I hope you will be able to get some rest very soon.
Ann, Thanks for sharing your creations and….the puppies! I shed tears reading your last thoughts as they are leaving! Wow! That has got to be very difficult! They are so cute and I know they will be treated the best by the forever home masters. Hugs to you!
LOVING the colors used on this card anne!
This card is so beautiful-the color combo, the new dsp w/ coordinating folder, layers, etc. etc! Just great.
Can’t believe how those pups have gotten so big so fast. Such darling babies. Super job, Ann!
Beautiful card and beautiful puppies! You’ve outdone yourself on both!!!
Stay safe, stay smart, and stay YOU! You’re a blessing to so many – especially to the families adopting your puppies and stampers.
Love the card. Such a beauty. Wishing the twins still some good times ahead. Sixx will still have the best human mom and dad with lots of puppy kisses and hugs to give and receive. Sweet dreams as you try to catch up on some much needed sleep.
A lovely card for the challenge….you do vintage so nicely! And you’ve done a great job raising those pups, too! Their owners will be forever grateful to the care that you gave them! They’ll grow up to be loved for sure!
Beautiful card!! Oh, the puppies are soo big all ready! You are very brave to part with all of them. When this is your last litter you will be raising, I think I would have to keep just one! ?. That’s why I could never raise them! Stay safe!
Well done, good and faithful servant…both with your creation and the pups. I’m sad to hear about Muffy now and pray you will be spared from another scare. Have a beautiful day and I’ll look forward to your pdf for this one as I desire to recreate it. Have a blessed weekend in spite of all the “not so good” that is going on.
Oh Ann your card is stunning & adding different elements from other sets really gives an interesting card
BUT the babies news is a real tear jerker!! I know why I was always hesitant about raising puppies! These 4-legged children have had an excellent prep for the big bad world!! Take care & you, your family & babies stay safe and healthy
