Ready for a paper pieced teapot card? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, Anne Marie has a Clean and Simple challenge for us: Paper Piecing. How fun is that!
By Clean and Simple, we mean minimal layers and embellishments, plenty of white space, and simple, uncluttered cards. I may have struck out with the minimal layers, but today’s card does have plenty of white space and minimal embellishments. I hope you enjoy it!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card is so easy to make! The Needlepoint Nook Designer Paper collection has an adorable pattern which reminded me of Delft pottery. After stamping the image in Night of Navy ink onto the designer paper, I put the paper snips to work. I could have used the Tea Time Framelits dies to die cut it, but I didn’t want paper to show around the stamped edge. However, I did use the framelit to cut the teapot from Whisper White cardstock to serve as the base for my paper piece.
The grid patterned panel is from the Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper collection. I probably should have left it off to keep the card “cleaner”, but I thought it and the Pearlized Doily really stepped the card up a notch.
The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy and cut out with a Be Mine Stitched framelit heart. A small butterfly, snipped from the designer paper, served as the perfect accent.

So beautiful, Ann! Love the detail in the tea pot. So pretty!
Ann, this is gorgeous! I love that teapot!!! The doily looks beautiful under the teapot. The laser cut paper adds so much detail! Just lovely! Have a wonderful birthday weekend, My Friend! XXX
I adore your teapot, Ann! You chose the perfect DSP, and the heart is such a great idea! I’m also a fan of the Laser-Cut paper, and it makes a wonderful background!
Fabulous card idea…love this DSP!!!
What a lovely card!
Happy Easter!
Love this Ann – I think you did a great job on the CAS front, as I’m sure this was a tough one for you! That teapot is gorgeous – and the fussy cutting so worth it to retain the white border. I love the doily and background lattice detail too. Beautiful!
I love the doily under the tea pot; it’s even possible that you would place your tea pot on your table on top of a doily. Beautiful tea pot and yes, definitely a reminder of the Delft pottery. Very nice Ann.
I’d love to have a cup of tea with you, but I don’t drink tea. However, served out of this lovely teapot, I’d make an exception. I see what you mean about the layers but I’m sure your teammates will be forgiving…it IS Easter after all! Have a blessed day.
