Is a pearl bedecked, colorful thank you card in your future? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week I have the pleasure of hosting the color challenge at The Paper Players. I thought a trio of Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight would be perfect for creating spring cards. I had fun creating this colorful thank you card, and I hope you enjoy it.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card is not one which can be created quickly. However, if you have a little time on your hands, it is a fun card to make. It involves using the Stamparatus “hinge step” technique to stamp the images which are found in the larger “windows”.
The other windows were paper pieced using Balmy Blue cut-outs created from a second Florentine die cut. Of course, I absolutely had to add pearls to the center of each.
The circular focal point involved stamping the image three times in the challenge colors, and using Layering Circles framelits to cut them out. A Clear Faceted Gem, surrounded by pearls, adds sparkle.

Ann, I absolutely loved these colors. Your patterned background really makes them look so bold and bright. The pearls add a wonderful touch of elegance. Another amazing card

WOW! This card is AMAZING! I know it took a long time to create. I admire the fact that you paper pieced all of those pieces. The color combo is so beautiful. Such a fun, Spring challenge!
Wishing you and your family a Blessed Easter!
WOW! That is one striking and gorgeous background and looks fabulous in the challenge colors! So sad to read the SU paper trimmer is being d/c’d! I read somewhere they are already sold out of the blades. 🙁
What an awesome card Ann – so much detail and it looks way more tricky than you make it sound! Loved your colour choices this week – s fresh for spring.
This is amazing…how different all our cards look even though we used the same colors! Lovely details and gorgeous embellishments! Hope you had a good weekend!
Love this but I think I have enough going on to even think about trying anything like this! Of course the pearls are a wonderful touch. Hope you had a safe trip to Minneapolis and back. Looking forward to hearing about it!
