It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Picture Perfect Birthday edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, The Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! This week we are featuring the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Lou Kitzelman. Her work is just beautiful! After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the incomparable Tanya Boser. She is always an inspiration. Enjoy this week’s hop!
The Stamp Review Crew: Picture Perfect Birthday Edition
Pop Up Book Card
How can one set have so many adorable images? With so many choices, I simply could not decide on which one to use, so I decided to use them all. What better way to showcase them than with a Pop Up Book fancy fold!

Colors of the Day
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
The inside of the card features a fun striped pattern from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper collection. I needed a piece which was 8-1/2″ x 5-3/8″” to form the inside base, and unfortunately the fun Picture Perfect paper featured in the catalog with this set is only 6″ x 6″. However, because of the colors, it coordinates great with the “confetti” Picture Perfect paper on the sides of the “book”.

The tube sections of the noisemakers were stamped in Pool Party and Fresh Fig, the fringe in Berry Burst, and the roll out in Lemon Lime Twist. Tutti Frutti adhesive backed sequins and rhinestones were used as accents. The sentiment on the facing page was inked in Berry Burst, while the bow is Pool Party. Remember, you can get double duty out of your inks by stamping off, then overstamping in full strength.
This is a top view of how this fold looks:

Isn’t it cool? There are several excellent tutorials and videos on how to create this fancy fold. Just search for “Pop Up Book Card Tutorial” and you will be richly rewarded. Of course, there is a front to this card, and here it is!

A bit of sparkle is added by using Myths & Magic Turquoise Glimmer Paper. I LOVE this glimmer paper collection from the Occasions Catalog. And what about the new Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder? It’s such a clean look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. Won’t you let me know in your comment? If would like to try your hand at creating your own Picture Perfect Birthday Pop Up card, the supply list is located below.
