Looking for a card for a crafty friend? Look no further!  That’s exactly what I’ve made for Festive Friday, where we are celebrating National Creativity Day with a Fun Fold Twist!

Card for a crafty friendIsn’t this one of the cutest cards ever!  It uses so many fabulous products which are part of Stampin’ Up!’s Follow Your Art Suite,  available  in the new catalog June 4th.   I opted to just focus on the Creativity Day aspect of the challenge. Enjoy!

Today’s card is all about the details, beginning with the center focal point.

Card for a crafty friendA stitched circle, embossed with the Subtle embossing folder is the perfect backdrop for the watercolored images. A felt heart and scallop trim, found in the amazing Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit,  provide texture. Of course, I could not resist adding a few pearls.

card for a crafty friendIn addition to the cute felt pieces found in the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit, I also used one of the mini-paper clips, Baker’s Twine and adorable charm.

To add to the “crafty” vibe, I embossed one of the layers with the Button Button embossing folder.  I will definitely be sending out versions of this card to my crafty friends.  I think they will be a big hit.  I can’t wait to hear what you think!

It’s Time to Reserve Your Annual Catalog Product Shares

2019-2020 Annual Catalog Product SharesWould you like to have all the new designer papers at a fraction of the cost of buying full packages? Are you like me, and would love to have all of the new ribbons, but an entire roll is way too much for you? Or, does owning sparkly embellishments make your heart go pitter-pat? Then my Annual Catalog Shares are for you!!!

Why should you participate in The Stampin’ Schach’s Annual Catalog Product Shares?

Here are three great reasons:

1. Packaging! Designer Papers are identified for you, so you don’t have to play “Which collection is this?” Ribbons are wrapped on bobbins or are hand-wrapped, not just thrown in a bag.
2. Amounts! You receive 6″ x 12″ rectangles of paper of the designer papers, except for the 6″ x 6″ paper stacks. That’s a plus for those of you who are memory keepers!
3. It’s a chance to sample a little bit of everything without breaking the bank!

How Shares Work

Shares are a way to sample the new Designer Series Papers, Ribbons, and Embellishments at a fraction of what it would cost you to purchase all of them yourself. And the nice thing is I do all the ordering, cutting, counting and re-packaging for you!

Simply EMAIL ME (ann@thestampinschach.com or kimschach@msn.com) to reserve your spot in a share. When your share fills (4 people), I will bill you via PayPal, or you may send a check. I will begin sending out PayPal invoices May 27th. Please let me know which share you would like, and the email address you would like me to use for PayPal invoicing.

On June 4th, I will place the orders for all filled shares. Once I receive the products, I will put the troops to work, and cut, count, measure and package up your goodies pronto! Because I want to get your shares mailed out as quickly as possible, I will expedite my order to Stampin’ Up! Your papers will be lovingly wrapped and identified; ribbons will be wrapped on plastic bobbins or hand-wrapped; and embellishments will be placed into small bags. Once this task is completed, your shares will be sent out via the US Postal Service. (United States residents only, please!) If you wish to be included in the first round of shares, please email me by June 2, 2019.

Sometimes the cards which look difficult to make, really are not. This is so true of today’s card. All it takes is time and a lot of cranking the Big Shot handle. I usually begin by stamping more flowers and die cutting more leaves than I think I will need.  After all, I can always save what I don’t use for another card.  I start by placing blossoms first, popping a few up on dimensionals. Then I add foliage into the spots where needed.

Beautiful Bouquet thank you cardClear faceted gems and large rhinestones add bling, while a Lovely Lipstick bow adds texture and helps to balance the challenge colors.

Beautiful Bouquet thank you cardWhat makes a better background for florals than the Basket Weave embossing folder? While I debated on using a Balmy Blue card base, I decided this embossed panel looked better on white.
