Fashionable Friend Card for The Paper Players

Don’t we all have a fashion conscious friend or two? I know I do.  I designed today’s card for one fashionable friend in particular.  She and I are always joking around about her shoe collection, so I know she will love it.  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Fashionable friend cardThis week, the talented Laurie is hosting a Clean and Simple challenge: Fashion Fun.  I will be the first to admit that I LOVE clean and simple cards, but I always end up adding too much “stuff”.  However, I gamely reached for my new Dressed to Impress bundle from Stampin’ Up! and vowed this time would be different.  I hope you enjoy today’s effort!

Clean and Simple cards are usually characterized by lots of “white” or uncluttered space. In this case, I added interest by embossing the background using the Tufted 3D embossing folder.

fashionable friends cardI kept embellishments to a minimum,  adding a Best Dressed tassel to the perfume bottle.  Clear Wink of Stella was used to add a bit of sparkle to the lipstick tube and the label on the bottle.

Peaceful Moments Card for The Paper Players

Who doesn’t love sending a card with the perfect sentiment to someone special? Today’s Peaceful Moments card may just be the one you for which you are looking. It’s perfect for so many occasions. It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Peaceful Moments cardThis week, Anne Marie is hosting our monthly color challenge, and what an awesome one it is!  Poppy Parade, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and any Neutral.  We can’t wait to see what you create with these yummy colors!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

I pulled out this blossom from  the Beautiful Promenade stamp set to create the flower on today’s card.  It was inked in Versamark and stamped onto a piece of Poppy Parade designer series paper from the See A Silhouette collection.  This tie dye pattern adds subtle shading to the flower.  It was then heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  The leaves were inked in Versamark, stamped onto Old Olive cardstock, and also heat embossed.

Peaceful Moments cardThe Rich Razzleberry swirl die cut was made using the Painted Labels dies from the new 2020 Mini Catalog. I think it forms the perfect backdrop for the gold embossed sentiment, which is one of my favorites from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I love the mix of fonts, don’t you? Of course, a few gold foil leaves and gold sequins are the perfect accents.   And just in case you are wondering about this gorgeous Old Olive ribbon, it is available only as part of the Botanical Prints Product Medley (151301).

Eiffel Tower Floral Card for FF0050

Welcome back to another year of Festive Friday challenges!  In celebration, I created an Eiffel Tower floral card.  Isn’t it like a breath of Spring? I am definitely loving the Parisian Blossoms Suite from the 2020 Mini Catalog.

Today’s card is filled with texture and dimension. The Parisian Flourish 3D embossed panel is a busy one. In retrospect, I probably should have just used a Whisper White card base with it. But, I was mesmerized by how well the Parisian Blossom paper coordinated with the floral spray.

Eiffel Tower floral cardThe flowers were colored using Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, while the leaves were tinted with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  A small amount of Daffodil Delight was added to the centers, which were then accented with Clear Wink of Stella and Champagne rhinestones.
