Clean And Simple Snowflake Card PP791

A snowflake card is a versatile one to add to one’s winter stash. By switching out the sentiment, it could be used for Christmas, a birthday, a winter wedding, an anniversary, a thank you, holiday party invitation and more. This plus is that today’s card is quick, easy and so much more beautiful than the picture shows. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

It’s Clean and Simple Week at The Paper Players. The amazingly talented Jan is hosting for us, and I LOVE her theme: Weather. When it comes to weather, what a variety of options you have ranging from rain, sunshine, rainbows, snow, fog and more. While I opted for snow, I can’t wait to see what YOU create. But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day! Just remember, it is Clean and Simple week. Make sure your creations meet the following criteria:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card exudes effortless elegance. The Swirls Of Magic embossing folder, an upcoming July Online Exclusive, gives the illusion of swirling snow. What could be a more perfect backdrop for three stunning snowflakes which were die cut from Shimmering Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper, also available July 1st. I tried and tried to capture the gorgeous sparkle of this paper but did not succeed. It is a delicate glittery paper which I love. I know I will be using it often. Although you may not see the sparkle in the photo, what you can see are the Adhesive-backed Blooms embellishments I used in the center of each snowflake. Yowza! They are part of the Violet Dreams Suite, another July Online Exclusive. Trust me when I say you will want to add a package, or two, to your stash!

OMG this is totally a “me” card, one I would like to make and one to receive. I love it! I saw this EF and wondered about some snowflakes on it whether velvet or sparkle ones. I had planned on just a simple rhinestone in the middle of the snowflakes. But, those violet suite blossoms look pretty fun. Thanks for making my vision come to life as a starting off place for ideas. This is beautiful and fun! This will make wonderful winter birthday cards.

  2. How lovely and elegant. clean and simple besides, makes for my kind of cards.
    Really like that EF.

With this heat here in Texas; having a little Christmas music on makes for a good time to make a few winter cards. Really puts a person in the mood for cooler temperatures.

Happy Father’s Day to All the Father’s out there.
