With its dark brooding backgrounds on one side and classic patterns in uplifting colors on the flip-side, Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper has already earned a place in my heart. While today’s card marks this beautiful paper’s first appearance on my blog, it will not mark its last. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

The sensational Stef is hosting Sketch Week and what a versatile sketch she has for us. The circle can be ANY shape you like, as you can see from the variety in our Design Team cards. I can’t wait to see what YOU create. I KNOW this is going to be a fun gallery for sure. But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day!

Colors Of The Day

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
When I saw first saw this pattern of Moonlit Flora, I was mesmerized by this amazing Soft Sea Foam moth. I knew I wanted it to take the stage on Stef’s wonderful sketch. After snipping it out, I perched it upon a circle of Iridescent Sunset Shimmer Vellum. I LOVE this vellum. I used a little snippet of it along the band on the left of the card. Because I wanted to introduce some “pops” of color, I used the Fern & Flora dies to create fonds of Secret Sea and Berry Burst, as well as white blossoms with Crisp Cantaloupe centers. The vertical band on the left is Berry Burst and Secret Sea. The sentiment, from the Fragrant Layers stamp set, was heat embossed in white upon Secret Sea. To go along with the moonlit vibe, I added several pearl accents on the moth and on the blossoms. Yep! Moonlit Flora definitely did the bulk of the work today. Welcome to my stable of designer paper workhorses, “Moonie”!

Ann, this is just stunning!!!!! I LOVE this gorgeous color combo and that moth is spectacular. I love all the ferns and the pearls are the icing on the cake. WOW! I need to add this paper to my stash! Wishing you a fantastic weekend, My Friend!
OH MAN do i LOVE this card Ann!
Like you, this set and DSP has already become a firm favourite. I love your treatment of it – as yet, I’ve been too dazzled by that gorgeous moth to dare cut into the page! The pops of Berry work well and I really like that you’ve used both colours of the diamond DSP and matched them so perfectly. Wonderful card, Ann and I might have to be doing some CASEing of it! 🙂
Well Ann, you have many of us taking another look at the new catalogue for these products. In your gifted hands, that paper comes to life with the gorgeous moth and the beautiful fern fronds! Such beautiful colors and lovely details. I love what you did with my sketch!!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Another must have product, thanks to you, Ann!
Wow!!!!!
This is gorgeous, Ann! I love how dramatic these papers are and I already know I’m going to need another pack of this paper. Love the pops of Berry Burst and Soft Sea Foam. I kinda wish they’d had a huge luna moth in the coordinating stamp set but I’m sure I have another one in my collection. Great use of the sketch and this card is like the paper equivalent of a red carpet look!
How fabulous Ann – that moth is really eye-catching and I love the pop of pink against the moody dark paper. Christy also made a fab card this week using another of the moths in that DSP pack, which I must confess I think I might have overlooked on pre-order …
Oh my, that is truly magnificent, and with your signature pearls too. Thanks for sharing.
Ditto on Judith’s comment.
Pretty much what I was going to say.
You certainly did give “Moonie” a workout! This is a stunner for sure! That moth is amazing, and I totally glossed over that vellum–I’ll have to go have a look-see for that! Fabulous work of art!
Ann, your card is absolutely stunning. WOW.
