The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card is a textural delight. Just look at all the velvet! The Peaceful Pine mats and the 2-3/8″ white punched circle (which has a gray cast in the picture) are from the Velveteen Assortment Specialty Papers. Also showcased is a beautiful pattern from the Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper in shades of Peaceful Pine and White. The Lily Of The Valley dies were used to create a Bubble Bath grid to ground the single lily of the valley stem. The touching “To a forever kind of friend” sentiment, from the Lily In The Valley stamp set, was stamped in Peaceful Pine ink and cut out with the retired Tasteful Labels dies. A Bubble Bath bow completes the picture.

Nueve’s Notes

Hey, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! My “Boy Brother”, Brady, sent Mom flowers for her birthday and some things from somewhere called The Amazon so she could make a pretty place in our backyard. He’s a good brother, ’cause he also made sure me, Sixxy and Uncle Q had some toys, too. I got a sloth ball while Sixxy and Uncle Q got tennis balls. We LOVE the quiet place Mom made and the lessons she taught us while making it.

Nueve smelling roses

I learned that it is always important to take time to smell the roses, but beware of the bees.

Uncle Q in the zen garden

Uncle Q learned that it is important to always take time to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Sixxy Zen Garden

And Sixxy learned that no matter how busy you are, you should always take time to play. Learning life lessons from Mom is just part of my job. I am a Working Dog. I am Good Boy Nueve.

Ann, there is nothing more feminine than Lilies of the Valley! This card is GORGEOUS! I love the DSP and the color combo, too! That sentiment touches my heart. But, the velvet paper steals the show for me. So much texture! This card is frame worthy!
Keep celebrating your birthday! Those beautiful flowers make me smile and your handsome babies always bring joy! Have a great weekend, My Friend!

  2. Ann, what a fabulous sentiment! I am obsessed with the lilies and all of that gorgeous background DSP. I love the layout and that ebullient ribbon nudges the feminine aspect to even higher levels. I love it.

  3. There’s something so exquisitely dainty about Lily of the Valley and your die cuts have captured that beautifully, Ann. The velvet paper and dsp look lovely. It must be delightful in real life and add in that sweet sentiment, it’s a totally feminine card for a dear friend. And thank you for the pup pictures and wise words. I always love seeing the doggos.

I’ve been on the fence about this set Ann and you are doing a wonderful job of showcasing it! Those velvet papers look lovely and the touches of pale pink just add to the feminine feel. Gorgeous!

Beautiful card. I have been on the fence about this set. I love your new peaceful area! That was sweet of him to send gifts for his puppy brothers.

Wow, what a beauty! I love that soft DSP pattern you used and your die cut flowers are wonderful as well. I will have to look at this suite a bit more closely…you might have convinced me to take it home with me! I am really loving Peaceful Pine, I’m partial to greens anyway but it is such a lovely color. Wonderful job on the theme and also convincing lots of us that we “need” that suite now too ; ) Have a great week and Daphne says hello to your puppers!

  7. Oh dear, I’ve been havering over whether to get this set or not and now you’re making it harder to say no to! Those die cut blooms are wonderful, especially against the flocked floral DSP. Funny you’ve used the Tasteful Label die – just today I had a tidy up and put them into my sell box, since I hadn’t used them in so long… now I wonder why not!

  8. I love your card and your dog too!

Your pups are wise beyond their years…
I just preordered that lily of the valley bundle; now I’m even more anxious to play with it. The textured DSP is so lovely in your photos!
Also, great weather you’re having! Here, too, in the Pacific NorthWET.

And the Lily’s are so pretty!! Do you need my address to send the card? 🙂 🙂
Your yard is very nice! I love the green grass! Everything here is dying due to the drought. ugh.
So nice to hear from Nueve!
A belated Happiest Birthday to you!!!! Have a wonderful week! Huggs

So beautiful and delicate. I love the space you made in your yard and the lessons you taught the pups. Uncle Q looks angry! Thanks for sharing X

What a gorgeous array of those lilies of the valley! The pink accents really make it stand out even more! And so happy the pups were able to help you celebrate your big day! Have a blessed week!
