A very good friend of mine is having a birthday soon. She’s a dog lover who loves pink and puppies. What better way to celebrate her special day than with a passel of puppies and pink plaid! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.

This week, creative Christy is hosting our Clean and Simple challenge. She has such a precious theme for us: Baby Animals. I thought the puppies from the Cutest Crew stamp set would be perfect for the challenge and for my friend’s card. I know the gallery will be filled with the sweetest little babies ever, and I can’t wait to see what YOU create. But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day! Just remember it is Clean and Simple week. Make sure your creations meet the following criteria:
Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
When I first saw the Cutest Crew stamp set, these little puppies stole my heart. While the set is perfect for making baby and children’s cards, I still think my friend will love it, too. The card base features an adorable plaid paper in the new In Color, Barely Blush. It is from the Silly Old Bear collection. Other new In Colors which are featured include Golden Glow (spotted puppy fur) and Hydrangea Hue (bandana on the play bowing pup). I do have to confess I am smitten with the soon-to-be-released Scalloped Blooms dies. I used one of the larger ones to create the die cut on which the pups are playing and a smaller one to create the small flowers. The gorgeous embossing was made using the Eyelet Blooms die, which is the April Product Of The Month, and the new Impressions plate. The sentiment is from the Rolling Waves stamp set. It was inked up in Smoky Slate and stamped onto a deckled edge die cut. Three Barely Blush dots in the centers of the flowers were the only embellishments needed. The new products will be available on May 5th. Get your “Gotta Have” lists ready!

The Eyelet Blooms Die is the finishing touch you didn’t know you needed. Whether you’re crafting a card or creating a scrapbook page, it transforms the space with soft texture and refined detail. Its intricate pattern creates a full background that fills large areas beautifully for a polished, handcrafted look in one easy cut.

Your puppies are absolutely adorable with the soft spring colors! I love how you and Joanne both used this stamp set and your cards are totally different, but equally cute. Next year I am definitely getting all the Blends markers at the same time I get the ink pads, I only got the Peaceful Pine this time and I’m already wishing I had the others for coloring in images. Thanks for making my challenge shine and have a wonderful week. I hope you’re fully recovered from that nasty virus!
Such a pretty card! You can’t go wrong using pink plaid & puppies!! I think I NEED the Cutest Crew (when it’s back in stock). Thanks for sharing!! Huggs from sunny Florida!
Love your card you made with the puppies. Does the Eyelite die cut out the tiny flowers also that is on the card?
Another beautiful card!! Makes me want a new puppy!!
Absolutely adorable!
