Today’s “Just A Note” card celebrates the start of spring with a palette of pastel hues. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

It’s sketch week at The Paper Players and the sweet and lovely Claire is our host. Her sketch is right up my alley. As I’ve mentioned before, I am a “Card Gardener”, so I could not resist spotlighting a delicate die cut nosegay. However, this is such a versatile sketch. The sky is the limit as to what you can feature. In fact, I can’t wait to see what YOU create! But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
My “Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine” arm certainly got a workout with today’s card! The backdrop features the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, while the banner was embossed using the Crosshatch pattern from the retired Basics 3D embossing folder collection. You know me and texture! Then there were the die cuts. The Gallery Blooms dies were used to create the flowers in shades of Fresh Freesia, Cloud Cover and Lemon Lolly. Foliage was die cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the Scalloped Wishes dies. These dies were also used to create the Scalloped Oval, the two Petal Pink blossoms, and the two Soft Sea Foam reeds. But wait, there’s more! The horizontal band was created using the retired Scalloped Contours dies and the retired Many Hearts dies. The sentiment, stamped in Basic Gray, features a stamp from the Fragrant Layers set. It was cut out using the coordinating Fragrant Layers die. Whew! Like I said, my cranking arm got a workout for sure. All that was left to do was to add Pearlized Faceted Circles, the perfect finishing touch!

Pretty In Pink
What little Princess doesn’t love to dress up? Sixx is no different. Her “Aunt Rose” made sure that Sixx had a new pink skirt for spring. Needless to say, it was a BIG hit! She had to wear it, even while playing fetch.
Tail wags were in order. When you feel pretty, you just gotta let it show!
By the time you will be reading this, it will have been a busy weekend for the boys. Nueve and Uncle Q are competing in the first obedience trials of the season. We will be sure to let you know how the boys do! As for Sixxy, she will be there cheering them on!

Ann, that cranking was worth it! What a gorgeous card. I love the soft spring colors and how you created a bouquet on the tag. As fabulous as the card is, Miss Six in her pink skirt steals the show. Thanks for making me smile!
hugs

Ditto what Joanne said – this card is simply “you” Ann! You brought all those die cuts together to make a gorgeous little bouquet, plus there’s so much texture and little details. Simply delightful!
Hope the boys did well in their obedience trials! Love the cute skirt of Miss Sixx, she IS a princess!
This card is such an ‘Ann card’: pretty pastels, lots of texture and layers, diecuts galore and of course (golden) pearls! Just gorgeous! Hope the boys did well – Miss Sixx is looking amazing!
Stunning card.
I like the pastel colors long with the sweet softness look of your card. You have some wonderful textures going on.
Thanks for sharing your video of your sweet babies as well. That tail just wagging away…………..so much cuteness. I do think they are enjoying being outside and enjoying all that fresh air.
We are under the No Ban burning in all of West Texas and our area as well.
Pretty pastels, a gorgeous floral arrangement and a lovely mix of textures and all put together with elegance. Beautiful. 🙂
A beautiful spring card, Ann, in such delightful pastel shades. I love the detail of the scalloped heart border on the horizontal strip and so much texture happening here. I hope the boys did well in their competition and have a great week!
Beautiful card. Love all the texture and die cuts. I am sure your arm got a workout cranking them all through the die cut machine. The pastel colors are all beautiful and I do like that heart border on the scallop die cut.

l’m so ready for pastel colors………….it means Spring! Love your card! I hope your “boys” did great with the competition!
This card is worth every bit of cranking you had to do with that Big Shot! Beautiful! All the elements, textures, colors and diecuts work together beautifully! I was intrigued by the row of hearts–don’t remember that die at all! But it works so well here! Very pretty!
One of the most beautiful cards ever!!
Love this gorgeous card, Ann! From the pastel colors and the delicate florals to the many textures and sweet heart die cut banner – every detail packs a punch. Your work is always amazing!
Great to see the dogs, as always!
What a beautiful spring card! So intricate! Sixx is a fashion natural, she could be a runway model. Best of luck to the boys!
Ooooo this is sooo pretty! And I always love to see your pups!
Oh Ann, you made this layer loving girl smile with the beauty!!!! Just WOW! I love the double embossing. It just adds so much texture to your card. SMILE! The beautiful “nosegay” shouts Spring. Your color combo is so lovely, too! Your scalloped/heart die horizontal element is perfect. Thank you for making my sketch shine! Have a great week, My Friend!
Sixx is ready for Easter in her new pink skirt. SOOO fun!
Oh my goodness you have done it again – completely wowed me with such a beautiful card! And “nosegay” – I can’t remember the last time I heard that word. And then there is your princess – how adorable! Thanks so much for sharing and good luck to the boys.
