“Love and joy come to you” proclaims the beloved holiday carol. What a lovely wish for friends, family and neighbors, don’t you think? It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
This week the amazing Jaydee is hosting our sketch challenge. What a fun sketch she has for us! I created a square card and flipped the sketch on its side. My “Any Shape” is an arrangement of holiday foliage, accented with golden bells. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Season of Green & Gold designer series paper, available as an Online Exclusive, is gorgeous. With designs ranging from gold-foiled elegant patterns to classic favorite designs like dots and plaid, this collection was a “must have” for me! Of course, I couldn’t resist using the dots and plaid patterns to form a lovely backdrop for the greenery and gold foil die cuts. The bells were fussy cut from another pattern. What a golden delight they are, as this picture shows!

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, everybody! It’s me, Nueve. I haven’t got to talk with you much ’cause Mom has been very busy. She says I have to have Super Vision to use the ‘puter. I don’t know why. I think I see very well with just regular vision. Anyway, we have been taking a break from the dog shows ’cause Sixxy had to have a special operation so she can’t have puppies. Mom has been taking care of her.
Mom and Dad talked about whether they wanted to be a puppy grandparents, but something told Mom to take Sixxy to the vet. It’s a good thing she did, ‘ cause when they opened Sixxy up to take out the place where puppies are baked, Dr. Rita said things were not right. If Mom would have waited longer, Sixxy might have died! Dr. Rita also removed TWO bumps. AND Sixxy had 9 loose teeth. That’s probably ’cause we play tug and I am stronger. When Sixxy got home from Dr. Rita’s she had to stay by herself. Mom made her a special place so Uncle Q and I wouldn’t step on her and hurt her owies. She can’t run or play or climb stairs for a very long time. Mom is sleeping on the floor with her.
Uncle Q and I guard them so nothing gets them.
When Sixxy is resting, Mom takes Uncle Q and I outside to run and play. I jump for joy ’cause I love playing with Mom.
We play with my sloth ball. I call him “Mr. Slothie”. He is my favorite toy.
And even though Uncle Q is getting old, he can still run FAST!
Sixxy still has another week of re-cooper-ating. She can be with us as long as Mom has her pretty pink leash on her. She still isn’t ‘posed to run and jump. But Uncle Q and I can’t wait until she can run and play with us again. In the meantime, I’ll keep on watching over her. Watching over the ones you love is just one of the things I do. I’m a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Heal quickly, Sixxy! You need to keep Nueve and Uncle Q in check! Tell your mom Ann that I love her card…she makes the best cards!
Ann, this is so elegant! I love the plaid and the dots together! The gold elements add so much detail and makes this card so classy! I just love the little bells!
I hope Your Baby gets well very quickly! Prayers and hugs!
Gorgeous card.
Hugs to your beautiful ‘babies’
What an elegant card, Ann! Like you, I love both the plaid and polka-dots, and they look so pretty together in the background. But the gold elements take your card to another level – just stunning!
I hope Sixx heals quickly and has a full recovery. You are the best doggie momma, just be sure to take care of yourself too.
Hugs,
Stef
Ann… you are busy! Nueve looks so sad in the first pic…but a recuperating dog is not easy when there are others that want to play. Glad she is on the mend. In midst of it all, you pulled out another gorgeous card!!
LOVE the card Ann! sorry to read about sixx ….. praying she’s getting the love and care to heal she is needing at this time
I love this card, Ann. I think that rotating the sketch was a great idea. Love that gorgeous cluster of Christmassy foliage and bells – so elegant and festive.
A lovely card! Thanks for sharing your dogs. Best wishes to Sixxy and hug Nueve for me.
I hope Sixxy continues to heal. You are a good Mom. I think your boy, Nueve, agrees. Pretty card too!
So glad you discovered the problem in time to save her! Beautiful kids!!
Beautiful card!! How scary for you and Sixxy!!! I’m glad y’all caught it in time!!! Glad she has Q and Nueve to watch over her!!!
Love your beautiful Christmas card using the sketch. The papers and gold bells are so pretty.
Love the card with the plaid and dots for the background as well as everything else. Sending love and joy with Sixxy and the rest of the fur babies. So scary. Teddy had a rough week but this morning he was much better scurrying around the yard and wanting his breakfast as well as belly rubs.
Beautiful!! Special love to Sixxy!
