With Fall comes the changing of the leaves with their subsequent dropping resulting in a gentle rain of color. With Fall comes the onset of crisp, cool nights, Friday night lights and evenings by the fire. With Fall comes apple cider, apple pies, and all things pumpkin spice. With Fall comes change, and Mother Nature, in her wisdom, teaches us that change can be beautiful. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players…
The amazingly talented Joanne is hosting our theme challenge this week. She has selected Spots or Stripes. How fun is that? While my card is a celebration of Fall with patterns in Cajun Craze, I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
You know me. I have a passion for polka dots. When I received the Iconic Celebrations designer series papers, I was thrilled to discover this Cajun Craze polka dotted paper. I paired it up with Pretty Peacock cardstock for a rich color palette. For contrast, I used the Autumn Leaves die cuts to create Copper Clay and Soft Succulent leaves from Tartan Foil paper. Sadly this paper is now unavailable in the US. But on the bright side, there are lots of great papers which can be used. Stampin’ Up! has the BEST papers. I used Dry Brushed foil paper to create the die cut veins and twigs, which made me think about how gorgeous THIS paper would be in creating leaves. I can’t wait to try it out…

I love Fall; less mowing to do, along with the changing color of the leaves. Getting less and less of them daylight hours.
Course in Texas, one has to be prepared for anything.

Ann, your card design is just beautiful! I love the fall color combo you used (YES to orange/rust and teal!) along with the beautiful patterned papers, including the wonderful polka dots! The sentiment is such a wonderful philosophical statement along with the literal truth. Love it!
I’m such a sucker for leaves – I love them! Yours are so gorgeous, with that wonderful colour combination, DSP veins and embossing. Plus, you were brave enough to include both stripes and dots!
