Happy Easter

Nothing says “Happy Easter” like a cute bunny! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

happy Easter bunnyThis week the talented Joanne is hosting our monthly theme challenge.  She has selected “Easter” for us. What fun! I pulled out Stampin’ Up!’s  adorable Easter Bunny bundle and hopped right into making this card. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The paper helps to do the work on today’s Happy Easter card.  Adorable daisies on this delightful pattern from the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper collection form the backdrop for this cute little bunny. Don’t you love the rhinestone accented floral collar? And how about the little bluebird, perched so sweetly on the sentiment? This entire stamp set is filled cute images.

Nueve’s Notes

Hi, everyone! It’s me, Nueve!  I’ve got some awesome news!  Last Saturday, sister Sixxy and I were winners in Madison, Swissconsin, Home of Cheese! My Dad made us wake up really early on the day we left so we would beat the ice storm there. When we got there, they let us into the hotel even though we weren’t supposed to be there for six hours yet.  They wanted everyone to be safe ’cause of the storm.  One night Sixxy and I had to come in through the circle doors ’cause the other doors were locked. Mom said they were called “Revolving” doors. I didn’t like them very much, but I did it anyway, ’cause I am a good boy.

Here’s a picture of Sixxy with the judge. She got a plaque and two fancy ribbons. She was very happy. People said she looked gorgeous.

I only got one ribbon, but that’s OK.  Sixxy really likes fancy ribbons, so she deserves two.

Sixxy and I went to eight shows in four days.  We were ready to play and rest when we got home. Sixxy is playing with her new toy.  It’s a carrot that has baby bunnies inside. She couldn’t see where she was running.  It was funny.

happy easter bunnyIt was a fun weekend, and I had fun playing show dog with Michelle.  Yep, sometimes even working dogs just want to have fun.  That’s me! I’m a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

  1. Ann, having had a mother-in-law who showed and judged, I know how exhausting shows can be – but all of that fades away when you see those ribbons! congratulations to you both :-). I love your card. It feels like the cover of a children’s book. So full of fun, texture, layers, and pattern. The scalloped border adds the perfect finish. I just want to run my fingers over it and appreciate it all

  2. This little bunny is super cute Anne and I love the spring flower meadow behind. Great use of the scallop frame too – I never think to use this on DSP, yet it is so pretty. A beautiful Easter card! Congratulations to the pups too!

  3. Ann, this little bunny is the cutest! I love her little floral accent and the DSP is so perfect with this little scene. Congratulations to sweet Sixx, too!

  4. Hi, Ann! Great card and great news about the ribbons! I honestly don’t know how you manage it all!

  5. Beautiful layers! Perfect patterned paper for this occasion! TFS

  6. Oh my word, Ann! Could this be any cuter? I love those papers and that bunny is precious! The floral collar on the bunny with the bling steals the show, Just smile!!!!!!
Great Job, Sixxy! SOOOOO amazing! Love the new carrot toy, too!

  7. That bunny card couldn’t be cuter if it tried! Those scalloped dies are among my favorites and really set off the Easter theme. Perfect touch with the rhinestone collar and songbird. Always such a pleasure to see your cards! Nueve and Sixxy are both gorgeous show dogs and yet they’re just regular ole pups, too. A carrot that holds bunnies?! Love it!

  8. “Hello” Ann, I just love continuing to follow your website! It’s always so fun! Nueve’s notes are the greatest also!!! I had to stop ordering things as I’ve been unable to make cards and scrapbooks lately. I hope to get back to it one of these days as I have SO MANY unused sets of stamps, etc., etc., etc,!!! I’m trying to re-organize my office/workshop. I am getting my daughter interested in scrapbooking! I am hopefully able to get back to my cards and scrapbooking as now I am behind on three children’s albums. Diane Gil

  10. Congratulations to Sixxy.
Ann , your card is cute as a bugs ear; or maybe I should say, cute as a bunny’s earr.
    Cute and adorable.

  11. You folks must get so excited when the doggies win ribbons, I know I would. they have beautiful color tones to their coats.

  13. What a fun Easter card…those papers work wonderfully as a background, and I admit that her little rhinestone-embellished garland is my favorite part. No, wait…the bluebird perched on the sentiment takes the cake! Congrats to the pups too…that’s a lot of work on everyone’s part!

  14. Ann: The card is absolutely beautiful. I think I will purchase that bunny . . . he is adorable.

Nueve: CONGRATULATIONS!! So many ribbons for Sixxix and yourself . . . you deserve them!!

  15. Congrats on all the ribbons…they deserved them! I’m giving you a blue ribbon for your card. Your bunny is just the cutest with his winner’s wreath around his neck. Have a blessed day.

What an adorable Easter card! I have seen many lately but that one is just perfect. I must admit though the blue and orange always make me think of Howard Johnson’s. Did you have them out there in the middle of nowhere where no one lives but a handful of people? I almost fell off my chair with Sixx and the carrot. My boys love that kind of toy too, but only to get the little things inside. Congrats to all of you on the shows, and the wins. Brilliant!
