Holiday Joy Card

Every year, I’m behind in getting my holiday cards completed and mailed out on time.  Maybe this holiday “Joy” card is just the design I’m looking for!  Maybe this year is the year my cards will arrive before Christmas! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Holiday Joy CardThis week, sweet LeAnne has a wonderful sketch for us.  It’s a versatile one for sure, and I can’t wait to see what YOU create using it!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

I took advantage of LeAnne’s wonderful sketch to showcase the Lights Aglow specialty designer series paper.  The Cherry Cobbler “mini-snowflake” pattern, with its tiny gold foil snowflakes, is so elegant. It coordinates perfectly with the Cherry Cobbler bokeh pattern, which I used for the vertical strip.  I ran this strip through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the “dotted” die from the Labels Aglow die collection. Don’t you LOVE how the gold glimmer paper peeks through?  And speaking of gold glimmer, isn’t the gold glimmer snowflake absolutely stunning? It’s the perfect backdrop for the gold heat embossed sentiment, which was stamped onto a Soft Succulent bokeh pattern.  This truly was not a difficult card to create, but it certainly packs a huge “wow” factor in person.

  1. Elegant. Regal. Gorgeous. I feel like a commercial, lol. This is absolutely beautiful Ann! I imagine this card is even more jaw-dropping in-person, too! Wowza!

  2. Love love love this!! That gold is gorgeous!

  3. This gets a big WOW from me, Ann! The papers are gorgeous, I especially love the gold distressed paper with cherry cobbler. I can see you getting lots of use of the bokeh pattern. All that shimmer and glitter, is elegant! Your Christmas card-making is off to a beautiful start.

  4. Oooh, that gold makes this Christmas card super fancy, Ann! So pretty. I gave up several years ago and I order “happy holidays” cards to send out–I figure that covers Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, any holiday really, so it doesn’t matter how late they get mailed out! I only send handmade Christmas cards to a few people, because less stress is better around the holidays 🙂

  5. So much sparkle and gorgeousness on this card Ann – I love the traditional colour combo and that big sparkly snowflake is the best!

  6. This certainly is a WOW card….all that gold really makes for a sparkling, spectacular creation! Sure to bring holiday joy to the recipient!

  7. Ann, this is gorgeous! Your DSP is just beautiful! Red and Gold are always winners for holiday cards. I love the gorgeous dies and that snowflake is fabulous! You rocked this challenge! Wishing you a fabulous week!

  8. OOOOOOOoo pretty! LOVE the gold works ….

  9. Ann, this is really pretty! Love how you let the DSP do all the work! And you gave me some good ideas for the dies with that set! Hope your trip to Wisco was good! Where were you at? Have a great week!
