Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

Perfectly Plaid Christmas Card

If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop, whenever you want.

This week we are featuring the Perfectly Plaid set from the 2020 Annual Catalog. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Heidi Baks.   Heidi’s work is always fabulous.  After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the amazing Kelly Kent. I absolutely love her work. Be prepared to be inspired as you travel along on today’s hop!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

It took longer to photograph today’s card than it took to make it. Seriously. But to be honest, it always takes a little longer for me to photograph a card when there is foil. There are always so many reflections!

The Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder provided a lovely background, while the Shaded Spruce ribbon not only provided texture, but pattern as well. The gold embossed tree (which shows up better in the photo above) coordinates with the gold foil. Of course, every tree needs a little sparkle!  Because I wanted a smaller sentiment than what is included in the Perfectly Plaid set, I heat embossed the word “Peace”, which is from the Dove of Hope set.

  1. How on earth do I not have that embossing folder! It is the perfect backdrop for you tree. Such an elegant card Ann.

  2. Plaid is really the ‘IN’ thing this year. Such a beautiful CAS card. Absolutely Gorgeous! Love that background embossing folder as well.

Take care, stay safe, stay healthy

  3. Beautifully elegant card with the gold accents, and I love the photo framing/background you chose!!

  4. Well, bust my buttons…this is one gorgeous card (nothing new there, your cards are always gorgeous), but that ribbon totally escaped me in the catalog. When I look at it there, it looks NOTHING like it does here on your card! Wowza! Simple, elegant, beautiful!

  5. Very elegant, Ann!

  6. Love this. I now know what I can do with that piece of that ribbon I received in a share. It looks pretty on here and just the right touch.
