Floral Friendship Card

Want to brighten someone’s day with a floral friendship card?  How about one which features Stampin’ Up!’s new Prized Peony stamp set? Get ready for another Festive Friday challenge!

Floral Friendship Card

For this week’s challenge,  we are inspired by National Orange Blossom Day.  At Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion.  Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I selected flowers, yellow, green, pink, sweet sentiment and glitter from this week’s Inspo List.  I hope you will join us in our challenge this week. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

There’s no doubt the focal point of today’s card is the peony blossom. Because I wanted the card to have a “soft” look, I stamped the image in Gray Granite. It was a snap to color using Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. In keeping with the soft vibe, I colored the leaves using Soft Sea Foam. The Daffodil Delight center received an extra dose of sparkle by adding some retired Dazzling Diamonds glitter over Shimmery Crystal Effects.

Stitched So Sweetly dies are a “must have” in my opinion. I love layering designer paper over them, as well as layering them onto themselves.  Offsetting them to one side provides the perfect backdrop for any focal point.  Add a few rhinestones and a small bow, and you are good to go!
