Quick, Easy Thank You Card for PP480

With ten puppies to care for these days, time is a limited resource for me…and probably for many of you.  That is just one reason why I designed this quick and easy thank you card for today’s challenge.  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Anne Marie is our hostess today, and she is challenging us to “Turn Up the Heat” to create a project which features heat embossing.  I heat embossed the word Thank You on my sentiment. I can’t wait to see what YOU emboss! And don’t forget to check out the puppy video at the end of today’s post!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Oh my gosh, friends! I am feeling overwhelmed. The “Party of Ten” litter turns three weeks old Monday, March 2nd, and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.  They will be wormed for the first time on Monday, and then they will begin their diet of puppy gruel four times a day, along with nursing, until they gradually taper off the nursing.  The gruel will turn to mush, and finally solid kibble over the next five weeks.

I knew I needed to come up with a card which would be quick and easy, and not one which would take hours to create. I turned to one of the new papers  available in the second Sale-A-Bration release, which begins March 3rd, to help me in my task.  What you see featured are patterns from the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series collection of papers.  The Rose Gold and Silver foil designs are stunning. You can use the papers as is, or you can add color to the white areas.  I happened to use a Blender Pen to add Daffodil Delight (flower centers), Flirty Flamingo (petals), and Mint Macaron (leaves) inks to flowers which I snipped from one of the pages.

A Silver Foil panel, die cut using a rectangular Stitched So Sweetly die, makes the perfect back drop. All that is needed are a few champagne rhinestones for a touch of bling.

I stamped the So Sentimental sentiment twice. Once was in Celestial Copper Delicata ink, which I die cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly die.  If you do not have copper ink, you can substitute any coordinating color you want.   I stamped it a second time in VersaMark, and heat embossed it using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Thank You was snipped out and adhered on top of the copper one.

  2. So for a ‘quick and easy’ card Ann this is choc-full of gorgeousness! The combination of foils and heat embossing, along with those champagne gems, this card exudes luxury! I’m amazed you found time to create anything at all – with all those cute puppies to look after, card making must be way down the list of priorities! They are utterly adorable.

  3. The video nearly made me cry – I am shamelessly all about the pups! How on earth you managed to make a card this week I’ve no idea and it certainly doesn’t look quick and simple to me! Great use of those papers and I love the delicately coloured flowers you snipped out. Vicky x

  4. Such a beautiful card, Ann! You really showcased that paper beautifully. This may have been a “quick” card for you but still has all of that fabulous detail that you do so well. Hugs to the pups!

  5. Wow Ann, I love the mix of metallics and the soft colors you use on the flowers and leaves! That is one gorgeous card! I’m impressed you made time to make it given the demands of those sweet puppies, so I applaud your stamina! Thanks for sharing the pics and video of those darling pups!! ???

  6. Okay – you definitely win the cutest pics award. And busiest blogger. And bestest fussy cutter-er!! I’ve wanted to snip that sentiment and just don’t have the nerve! YOU did it wonderfully! I love your card – the lightly colored flowers are just gorgeous! Hope you get a little rest soon!! Enjoy those babies! 🙂

  7. Ann, I don’t know what to comment on first! I have to go with the puppies. They are sooooo precious! They certainly are growing. All that attention and love shows! Now, for this gorgeous card! Just WOW! I love the DSP and those beautiful flowers. I love the way you colored on the paper! Your fussy cutting on the sentiment is fabulous! I sure hope you can get some rest this week! XXX

  8. Love that copper…wow what a pretty card! And those pups…so adorable!!

  9. The card is very pretty with the lightly colored flowers. I really like that
dp with the grid design too.

But Ann, those puppy pictures and the video are really making me smile. They are adorable (although a lot of work for you)!

  10. Pretty card. I, too, passed it on the pre-order but hope to still get it. So pretty when colored or left plain. The puppies are so adorable. Looks like someone already likes belly rubs!

  11. Oh, Ann, such a bundle of cuteness and sweetness. I love the names! The video just melted my heart!! But this is post is really about the wonderful card you created. It looks like you spent hours on it because it is so elegant. The way you “painted” the flowers is great. I said no to that paper on the pre-order but I don’t think I can resist too much longer. Have a blessed week. Thanks for sharing part of your life with your followers.
