Looking for a sweet “Hello” card to brighten someone’s day? This just may be what you are looking for! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week Laurie is hosting a color challenge for us: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Calypso Coral. I was excited to have a little extra time to create while puppies slept. Woo hoo! I had time for layers and extras! I hope you like it. I can’t wait to see what YOU create with this fun trio of colors!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This sweet little hello card is all about layers, texture and details. A Coastal Cabana panel was embossed using the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder and adhered to a Whisper White scalloped frame, which was created using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Calypso Coral gingham paper spans across the card, forming the backdrop for a Bermuda Bay circle, which had been stamped using an image from the Swirly Frames stamp set. A pair of neutral colored birds were die cut from Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and popped atop the circular frame using dimensionals. Step-by-step details are included in the free tutorial below.
Free As A Bird blossoms and buds were stamped in Calypso Coral, while leaves were stamped in Bermuda Bay. They provide a touch of interest to the circle.
The sentiment is from the Honey Bee stamp set. It was inked in Basic Gray to coordinate with the birds. Once again, I used a die from the Stitched So Sweetly collection to cut it out.

I am a bit behind on reading blogs, but love the colors in this card! Really nice card and thanks for sharing the puppies with us . We need an overdose of cuteness in these crazy times. Hope you are well.
I love all these gorgeous layers and those sweet little birds. This card shouts Spring and it is such a happy card! And oh, those puppies. Be Still My Heart! XX
Fabulous mix of patterns and layers! Those little birds really pop!
You always make such beautiful cards with that bird paper Ann (says I as I am still admiring the beautiful birthday card you sent me that features it many months ago!) and I love how you worked it in with this week’s colours! Those puppies are just adorable – I could take them all!!!
Ann, you make the most elegant cards! All those layers and the birds in the focal image are just stunning together! Thanks for sharing the puppy photos, they are all soooo sweet! Love that picture of Tenn, she definitely looks like a girl doggie!
Wow I LOVE the pretty papers you used…and the layers…beautiful! And the pups are SO adorable.
Okay – please send Sixx to me immediately! She is darling (like all of them!). Love your pretty card – the mix of the gingham with the birds is a perfect design element! So happy you had a chance to craft a minute this week! 🙂
I am kicking myself for not adding those gorgeous papers to my last SU order – those birds are just gorgeous! The pups are at that lovely stage where you just want to rub their warm chubby little tums! Thanks for sharing Ann. Vicky x
Beautiful card, Ann. Makes me anxious for spring!
And, little chubbies. So cute!

The card is fabulous….love those birds and it’s great to see that paper, one of my faves! Super fun layout too! But of course, the pups steal the show!
Great card. All the pups are so adorable. So glad they took naps for you to time to create and take photos of the cuties.
I love the colors used, the different and creative panels you added. I love all of the card you created, so very pretty.
The babies are beautiful. How is the Mom? 4 weeks sure has gone by very fast. 🙂
I love birds so that stamp set and the coordinating papers are a favorite. It’s a really beautiful card. The puppies are adorable cuddling next to each other or to a pillow etc. I don’t know how you keep straight who is who.
I hope to CASE this beautiful card! So pretty with all the layers and flowers. Thanks for sharing pics of the pups–i just want to put my nose in them! Don’t little puppies smell the best? (Hmm, I don’t know about 10 of them but individually…) ?
Ann, you made me want to get out this set and use it again! I love the mixture of the DSPs and those wonderful layers. The white flowers pop against the bermuda bay. Gorgeous card…… but those puppies are adorable 🙂
hugs
