The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s bright and cheery card is simple to create. There are no difficult techniques, just a lot of fun stamping and layering. Of course, every card is easier when you know the paper measurements, so here they are!

Paper Measurements:

  • Pool Party cardstock (4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ to form the card base)
  • Pretty Peacock cardstock ( 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″)
  • Whisper White cardstock (a little larger than 3″ x 4-3/8″ and 1-11/16″ x 1-3/16″  in order to accommodate these measurements of Stitched Rectangle dies, scrap pieces large enough to stamp the images)
  • Dinoroar Designer Series Paper (4″ x 5-1/4″)

1.  Mat the designer paper onto Pretty Peacock cardstock. Adhere to the card base.

2.  Die cut the 3″ x 4-3/8″ Stitched Rectangle panel. Adhere to the card base.

3.  Ink the following images in these colors:  Palm Leaves (5) – Old Olive; Tree Trunk – Crumb Cake;  Pteranodon – Pool Party;  Checks on the Pteranodon’s wings – Pretty Peacock; Brontosaurus – Mango Melody;  Spots on the Brontosaurus’ body – Pretty Peacock;  Upright Dino- Flirty Flamingo;  Spines on the upright dino’s back – Pretty Peacock.  Die cut using the matching Dino Dies.  Adhere to the card as shown, using dimensionals for the Pteranodon and upright dino.

This card takes me back to the days when Brady was heading out to elementary school. I would always try to tuck something fun into his little back pack for him to discover.  He was such a dinosaur fan, and I know he would have LOVED this card. In fact, I am going to send it to him, even if it is 25 years too late. I know he will get a hoot out of it.
