Sailboat Card for Challenge for PP449

Ready for a clean sailboat card in patriotic colors? Here’s one for you! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

sailboat cardThis week Laurie is hosting a theme challenge for us:  Water Sports.  Water Sports encompass so many activities, but I opted to create a serene scene featuring sailboats.  I love the look of sailboats on the water. It’s so relaxing to just sit and watch them from the shore.  Enjoy today’s card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card features the Lilypad Lake stamp set.  The water was stamped in Balmy Blue, while the sailboats were colored with Real Red and Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Markers.  Daffodil Delight, with a smidge of Pumpkin Pie, was sponged on for the sun.

sailboat cardAlthough it does not show up well in the picture, the new High Seas 3D embossing folder provides the perfect background.  The sentiment, from A Good Man, really seemed to fit the scene.

  1. Everything shows up beautifully! Your sail boats and sun are perfect.

  2. Ann this is so beautifully CAS. I love the frames and the embossed base. Your sun is wonderful, too. I agree, there is something so relaxing about sitting and watching sail boats on the water

  3. Love this clean and fresh card Ann. Your colour choices are spot on and all that white space makes for a great CAS card (I think you’re getting rather good at these!) I love the added texture of the waves on the background panel too; your card convinced me to add this EF to my order this week. Great sentiment with this set too; I love the images in the Lilypad Lake set but the words aren’t always appropriate. Fab card!

  4. So peaceful and relaxing, you captured the sentiment exactly! Love it!!!

Ann, this card is perfect! It is so crisp and clean! Love the red, white and blue! I love the embossed background and the sentiment is perfect! Great reminder for all of us! XX

  6. Love the layers and the texture on the white background. Perfect scene!

  7. Crisp, clean and stunning, Ann! Love the cheery colors and the textured background. And that sentiment? I think we all need that reminder to take a break every once in a while, don’t we? Such a great card, my friend!
