How about a layered thank you card today? It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

layered thank you cardThis week I have the honor of hosting our sketch challenge. Of course, you know me and layers. I couldn’t resist a multilayered sketch. Although it may look tricky, I give you all of the dimensions I used to create my card in a free tutorial.  Let’s take a look at some of the details!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

One of the fun things I like to do is mix patterns. Although I’m not brave enough to do it with my clothing, I love mixing designer paper patterns. One the keys is to watch the scale of the patterns and to tie them all together with color.  I LOVE the patterns in the Painted Season Designer Series Paper.  (This paper is part of the Painted Seasons bundle, which is available as a Sale-A-Bration item.)

layered thank you cardSometimes I get into a rut, always stamping an image onto Whisper White or Very Vanilla. However, the Poppy Parade blossom is so much softer when stamped onto Petal Pink.

layered thank you cardRather than a stamped sentiment, I went with a die cut Early Espresso “thanks”.  The Well Written framelit collection is awesome!

layered thank you cardI am always in need of thank you cards.  I can’t wait to send this one out!

  1. Ann, what a gorgeous card filled with luscious layers of texture and pattern. The white base was the perfect choice to highlight that beautiful flower and your pearls are, as always, perfectly placed. Stunning, my friend

  2. It’s raining layers…hallelujah! Ann, not only did I absolutely love your card but the sketch makes me layer-loving heart happy. Big hugs!

  3. Ann, your card is so gorgeous! I LOVE all the beautiful layers and the colors you chose. The mix of patterns is just so pretty! I think this sketch is amazing and I will use it over and over! I hope you are having a great week, My Friend! XX

  4. Ann, I love all the layers! And, it shows off our new Painted Seasons DSP to the max!

  5. Just gorgeous! These colors are so warm and cozy together…I have resisted this bundle, but I think I might just have to throw together an order so it will jump in my cart! I love that you stamped the floral on colored cardstock, too!

  6. This is one fabulous card Ann! Mixing papers is often a challenge yet you managed to use four and coordinate them perfectly! Great tip about the flower too – stamping on pink does elevate this bloom and really make it shine. I resisted this bundle and the papers, even though I loved them – this card is testing my resolve for sure! Absolutely gorgeous!!

  7. Ann. You rocked it out of the park again… as usual. 😎
These papers are fabulous together and yet to see them in large sheets one might not even think to mix these FOUR!!! You GO GIRL.
(I am struggling with some of the papers in the packs I bought for just ONE paper I loved… so now you give pause to rethink the patterns). These colors are muted yet so beautiful and I love your creativity as always.

  8. This was such a wonderful sketch and your card is drop dead gorgeousness!! Love the colors and patterned papers!

  9. Absolutely gorgeous!

  10. I love all the layers! This was a fun sketch. Your card is beautiful.

  11. This is gorgeous and I can’t wait to play with your sketch.
