It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Varied Vases Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want. This week we are featuring the Varied Vases stamp set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from the talented Nikki Spencer.  After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the creative Lou Kitzelman.  Be prepared to be inspired!

Varied Vases is a set which is definitely very versatile. From clean and simple to layered and lacy, this set can handle it all.  Since I am feeling pretty vintage myself these days, I decided to put a vintage twist on this set by using Galvanized Metallic Paper and the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Both of these items will be available in the new Holiday Catalog which goes live on September 5th.  I hope you enjoy this vintage Varied Vases card!

Nothing cries “vintage” more than old tin tile ceilings. The small country grocery store where my family shopped at when I was a child had tin tile ceilings.  Later in my life, a gorgeous Victorian home which had them in the kitchen made the “short list” of homes we were thinking of buying.  I was thrilled when I saw the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder in the Holiday Catalog.  Coupled with the new Galvanized Metallic paper, it adds a distinctive vintage flair to any card.

The trio of vases was punched from Very Vanilla cardstock. The floral images were stamped in Basic Gray, and colored using Petal Pink, Pool Party and Highland Heather inks. The branches were die cut using the thinlit from the Petals & More collection.

The long Stained Glass border thinlit adds a Craftsman flair.  Very Vanilla 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle and Very Vanilla 1/2″ Lace Trim was woven through the slats.
