FF0015: Embossed Thank You

embossed thank you card

It’s time for the Festive Friday Challenge, where every challenge is a party! For FF0015, we are celebrating International Dot Day (September 15) with an Embossing Folder twist. You can create a card celebrating dots, or you can create a card or project that uses an embossing folder, or you can combine both! Whatever way you decide to create is fine with us! We would love to have you play along!

Embossed Thank You Card

For today’s challenge, I opted to do the embossing folder twist using the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  You might remember this folder from my previous post.  It will be available when the Holiday Catalog goes live on September 5th.   I thought the coffee pot image, which reminds me of a vintage granite coffee pot,  was perfect to use with this folder.  I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The embossing folder takes center stage on this card.  When couple with the new Galvanized Metallic paper, available September 5th, the results are stunning, and very, very vintage.

The flowers were colored using Stampin’ Blends, and then snipped out.  A small pearl adorns the center of the larger blossom.

The coffee pot was also colored using Stampin’ Blends.  An adorable little oval bearing the sentiment “Thanks” adorns the front , while a snippet of Very Vanilla lace embellishes the top rim.  Also of interest is the Galvanized Clip with Braided Linen Trim bow, both of which are found in the new Holiday Catalog.

  1. Beautiful Card!

  2. Love it. I have been having a heck of a time with my E-mails. I finally found yours in the SPAM folder. So, glad I found you again. This is lovely. Plus, pearls!!!! My next door neighbor has a reclaimed tin tile ceiling in her new enlarged kitchen from a building in Oskaloosa that was being torn down. It is so luscious and pretty looking once they rehabbed it a bit. I need to get this embossing folder and galvanized paper and make her a card to go with her sitting area off the kitchen. She even has a couple of old tin pitchers with flowers on the side tables. She loves antiques and there are so many treasures in her house that she repurposed. Love the card and can’t wait to play when I get those things ordered. I need to get back to the SPAM folder as it says I have 6,000+ files in it. Chris R. from Iowa lives on as Chris from Pella now since I had to get a new E-mail and I had better resign up for your posts in my new E-mail name.

  3. Beautiful card. I love the vintagy feel with the embossing and cute, cute can of delicate flowers. That lace is a special touch! TFS.

  4. Another beautiful “Ann” card!!! Your cards are always done to perfection. Thanks for sharing!!!

  5. simply stunning!

  6. Your card is absolutely beautiful! I will have to check out the Country Home set. As for the Pine wood and tile folders I have a question. I do not have the SU Big hot machine but I do have the Big Kick. I was wondering if these folders are small enough to be able to use in the machine I already have? Thanks Ann. Smile BIG! 🙂
