You’ve Got This and Stippled Blossoms for The Paper Players

IMG_2523It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week Laurie is hosting a Tic Tac Toe challenge.  These are always so much fun! And because I incorrectly scheduled last Sunday’s post, I will be sharing that card, too!  So let’s get started!

This finished card measures 4-14″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Watercolor! The Floral image from the new set, You’ve Got This, was watercolor using Aqua Painters and Tangelo Twist, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight inks. The Crosshatch background stamp, also from You’ve Got This, was inked in Lost Lagoon.

  • Birthday Banner! The sentiment, from Remembering Your Birthday, was inked with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  Originally I had not planned on adding the sentiment as a banner, but a little mishap caused me to change my mind. (Wink! Wink!)

  • A bit of bling! A trio of retiring In Color Sequins, with tiny Pearl centers, add just the right touch of bling!

IMG_2523-003Last Sunday, the lovely Anne Marie had an awesome sketch for us.  However, a puppy emergency resulted in my card being posted very late.  And then to top it off, I thought I had scheduled my post, but in reality I had not. Because the card showcases new product which I received while in Hawaii on Stampin’ Up!’s Grand Vacation, I just have to say a little bit about it.

IMG_2503The beautiful designer series paper you see is from the NEW Timeless Elegance Collection…a little perk from the Hawaii trip, along with the Metal Rimmed Pearls.  The Stippled Blossoms stamp set was used to stamp the flowers. This has been my “go-to” floral set for the past few years.  It was placed on the Retired List this year, and is now sold out. This will be one of the sets I will definitely keep!

By the way, all of the puppies are fine.  Little Bunny hurt her leg, and since she was not putting any weight on it and it was swelling slightly, we made an emergency trip to the vet.  But lo and behold…once she made it to the vet’s office (after hours, I might add so we had an additional emergency charge), it was a miracle! She could walk! She could run! She could play!  We took x-rays, just to be certain there was no break, and she received some puppy pain pills.  The entire crew will head to Chicago on Monday to be evaluated by Amy, our handler.  We will know then which baby will be staying with us!

I hope you enjoyed the new products featured on both of today’s cards.  Is there something in the new catalog you just can’t wait to get your hands on?  For me, it’s the heavier weight white cardstock.  Won’t you let me know yours in your comments today?  Your comments are important to me.  Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…

  2. Two fabulous cards Ann – I love the first one and I’m so glad you posted the second one too, it’s so very you and stunning! A soon as I saw this paper I thought of you – I knew it would be a perfect pairing for Stippled Blossoms and would be a popular choice with you!

  3. Ann, this flower looks FABULOUS fussy cut and popped up!! Great color choices and love how you managed to get those pearls in there 🙂 That sentiment is my FAVORITE! Awesome card!!!

  4. Beautiful cards, Ann! The elegance of the second card just blows me away.

  5. Hello Ann: I’m so very sorry that Stippled Blossoms is gone but I’m so lucky I have it, this is a keeper for sure. Love both cards Ann but my favorite is the one with the Stippled Blossoms, it’s a timeless classic in those colors.
I’m happy to hear Bonnie is fine, I just can’t imagine giving those puppies up, I’m glad you will get to keep one of them.
    Hugs.

  6. Beautiful water coloring! Your second card is gorgeous and elegant.

  7. Ann – Both cards are so beautiful. Did you watercolor the flower on watercolor paper or on Whisper White? Glad to hear that little Bunny is OK. I hope the evaluation (and the trip) went well. Have you found potential owners for the pups you aren’t keeping? Not that I have room for one, just curious as to if you had people lined up or if you were waiting until you knew which ones were going to be available and their temperments. Obviously they might go to different types of homes depending on their personalities. Good luck either way finding their forever homes! I’ve so enjoyed the pictures and hearing about them all. I eagerly await each update!!! Have a lovely week.

  8. Ann, you already know how much I love the Stippled Blossoms card, and your card for today is gorgeous too! Love the colors. So glad to hear the puppies are doing well!

  9. Stunning card(s)…..the color selection you chose is fabulous! And I love those little pearly sequins…one of my fav techniques! Have a safe trip!

  10. Gorgeous card, Ann. I love your color combination on the first and the true elegance of the second one is stunning. I agree with you about the heavy weight cardstock–I think it’s my most anticipated catalog item–ooh and the metallic thread! So glad Bunny is bouncing again and can’t wait to hear which pup will stay–my bet is Mia. 🙂

  11. Absolutely gorgeous! I really really love the second one best though. Oh poor Bunny. Funny how those trips to the vet are somehow miraculous huh? Wouldn’t it be easier for Amy to come to the puppies? Do you have a preference before the evaluation?

I’m with you, Ann, it’s the 100 weight Whisper White card stock that has my heart beating faster…and the Gift Bag die. Stippled Blossoms is my favorite stamp set of all time, mostly due to your gorgeous renditions over the last few years.

Oh no, it the stippled blossoms is totally sold out? I kept debating and when I saw your post, I thought I needed a treat and was going to order it. Both of these cards are glorious and I want both, I know I can’t have them so I will have to CASE them but not I can’t even do that. Oh well, will I ever learn?

Our kids are kids – right – I am sure people get to the doctor’s office or ER to find they made a huge recovery on in the car! So, glad nothing was major. I can’t wait to see/hear which pup will be part of the Schach Pack! Muffy, you raised a wonderful group of pups – each are so special!

  17. Both cards are gorgeous. Love the colors in each one.
