It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week we have a spirited color combination consisting of beautiful Baja Breeze, eye-popping Poppy Parade, and delicious Daffodil Delight. I hope you enjoy this bright and cheery birthday card created with these colors and the new Stampin’ Up! set, Make a Cake. I received this set as a “reward” for having new members join The Schach Pack, my Stampin’ Up! downline team. It will be available for ordering June 1st!
The finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Tool Time! The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig makes baking this cake easy-peasy! The Cake Stand/First Layer image was inked with Baja Breeze, the Middle/Top Layer with Poppy Parade, and the Pennants with Daffodil Delight. Perfect alignment is courtesy of the SAMJ! A mini Poppy Parade butterfly, created with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit enhances the stamped butterfly images.
- Frame with a Framelit! The image was framed using a framelit from the Apothecary Accents collection! A second one was created from Poppy Parade card stock and layered behind the Whisper White.
- Banner-licious! The “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners was inked with Poppy Parade and stamped onto Whisper White card stock. Using a Bitty Banner Framelit, an adorable banner is created with one quick zip through the Big Shot!
- Tasteful Trim! An oversized Poppy Parade scallop border, created with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, is bedecked with pearls. The large size anchors the image and provides a wonderful contrast in size!
Unfortunately, life interfered with stamping this past week. I priced and cataloged over 100 retired stamp sets in preparation for June 1st, when I will start my “Retired Stamp Sale”. I cleaned house in preparation for Brady’s return home from college and a reception in his honor. When I say “cleaned house”, we are talking deep cleaning! Plus, there were three webinars during the week, individual stamping lessons to teach, a son to move back home, Twins to bathe and groom, AND college graduation, a dog show, and wedding this weekend. To top it all off, I exceeded my lifting limit and my back let me know. Whew! But things should return to normal starting Monday.
I hope you enjoyed today’s peek at new products! I am so in love with the new Framelits. How about you? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
