It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players. This week the talented Anne Marie is hosting a Clean and Simple Challenge: Use Polka Dots on Your Clean and Simple Project! Wanting to stay clean and simple as requested, I steered away from anything vintage and opted to create a delightful paper-pieced baby card. I hope you enjoy “Polka Dots and Pearls for Baby!
The finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long.
- Itty Bitty Baby Banner! An adorable embellishment for any baby card is the sentiment “Sweet Baby” from Itty Bitty Banners, available in the new catalog. Two Marina Mist banners created with the Bitty Banners Framelit and a Baker’s Twine bow add a festive twist to this simple sentiment!
- Beautiful Bow! In homage to Stampin’ Up!’s retiring Satin Ribbon, a Marina Mist bow adds an indisputable “wow” factor! Out of all of the retiring products, Satin Ribbon is the one item I will miss the most. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to stock up now while it is still available!
- Paper Pieced and Pearly Pram! Paper pieced using a dotted pattern from Nursery Nest, the “Baby Carriage” from the Baby Bundle stamp set takes on a whimsical elegance by adding Basic Pearls!
It was fun using the Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper one more time before it retires. And just as I loved my Satin Ribbon, I know that I will learn to love the ribbons in the new catalog, too. Change is always good for the creative process. So what did you think of today’s card? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? And as always, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
