Stampin’ Up! is offering fabulous deals this week. I love the fact they are offering both the Label Love clear stamp set and the coordinating Artisan Punch.  I also love the Fringe Scissors.  In fact, my club stampers used them to create “grass” on the Easter card we created last week.  I would say they are a definite must-have!  Of course, you can never have too many punches…and the Petite Petals Punch is a cutie.

Love Is Kindness

IMG_1862It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the lovely LeAnne is hosting a sketch challenge.  I used the opportunity to make another spring card to accompany a gift.  I really love the Kindness Is Love stamp set.  Those little tulips just cry out for paper piecing! Enjoy!

pp237The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This folded card measures 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.

  • Piece! The Tulip image was stamped three times:  once onto Whisper White cardstock,  once onto  Rose Red Polka Dot Paper (from the Regals Background Designer Series Paper Stack), and once onto Typeset Designer Series Paper.  The stems were watercolored green using a Blender Pen and Wild Wasabi ink.  The Rose Red tulips were snipped out and adhered.  The same was done with the Typeset “newprint”.  Don’t you love the result?

  • Butterflies! Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay butterflies, from Papillion Potpourri, accent the sentiment, which is from Mother’s Love.  The cursive font is so fresh and modern, and complemented the clean look I was wanting to achieve.  I think this sentiment is definitely a keeper!

  • Banners! I love the trio of banners in this sketch.  I selected the same Rose Red pattern from the flowers…and its flip side…as well as the Typeset pattern.

IMG_1862-004This tulip image takes me back to my childhood days.  My mother grew the most beautiful tulips, in addition to many other types of flowers.  There were irises and roses, peonies and poppies…and so many more.  There was always a bouquet on the table.  Unfortunately, I never inherited her green thumb.  Her love of animals…yes.  Her green thumb…no.  Maybe that is why I buy so many floral stamps!  It’s one way I can surround myself with flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card.  Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one.  If you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away!  Until next time…

Week 7 Ends and Week 8 Begins: The Muffy Chronicles

It’s Muffy, ready to fill you in on what happened last week.  It’s hard work baking mini-Muffins!  During my 7th week of pregnancy, my days consisted of eating.  My Mom added cottage cheese, tripe, and scrambled eggs into my kibble.  I get to eat four times a day now, since Mom added a fourth meal…a snack before bedtime.

IMG_0588My days also consist of drinking….lots! I drink more water now than I ever have.  This makes me have to potty more.  Mom has to take me out in the middle of the night now…just like when I was a baby.  Silly Brody and Lexi think they have to go out, too.  Mom said she doesn’t mind.  She said there is beauty in the stillness of the night, and it gives her time to think.

IMG_0606I sleep a lot.  My favorite chair no longer fits…

IMG_0587so I spend most of my time at Mom’s feet.

IMG_1798Of course, there are fun things, too…like trying out the new whelping box.

IMG_0599-001And I dream of the day when the babies are born…

IMG_2948I’ll be back next week with more pictures as I finish up my 8th week! Have a wonderful weekend!
