It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Tropical Chic Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want. This week we are featuring the Tropical Chic stamp set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from my good friend, Mike Funke. After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the talented Charlet Mallett.
Tropical Chic Thank You Card

There’s no doubt about it … Tropical Chic is one of my favorite sets from the new Annual Catalog. The coordinating paper, with its lush colors, imparts the feeling of being in a tropical rain forest. With the coordinating dies, no fussy cutting is needed. I hope you enjoy today’s card.

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
The Leaf Cut-Out Die makes creating a background as easy as a tropical breeze. I layered the Granny Apple Green panel over a simple Gray Granite dotted pattern from the Tropical Escapes Designer Series Paper pack for a quick and easy background that packs a punch.
A cluster of Blushing Bride blossoms, a Granny Apple Green leaf, and Shaded Spruce die cuts provide a striking focal point.

The simple dotted designer paper is the perfect canvas on which to stamp the sentiment, don’t you think?
I was so smitten with this set that I had to CASE one of the catalog samples for one of my On the CASE cards.

You can find the step-by step tutorial on how to create this card HERE.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If would like to try your hand at creating your own Tropical Chic thank you card, the supply list is located below. Clicking on a product takes you right to my store. You will receive a little somethin’-somethin’ from me IF you use the Host Code. If your order is $150 or more, please do not use the Host Code. You will automatically receive the gift from me, as well as your own Host Rewards.

Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Now hop along to Charlet Mallett to see what she has in store for you! If you get lost along the way, you can find a list of all the hoppers at The Stamp Review Crew. Until next time…

Can you believe it?

Keeping with the celebration theme, I added a single balloon, punched from Mango Melody Designer Paper and held in place with a Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine string.
A watercolored platypus is not the only watercolored card I have made for The Paper Players. Eight years ago, for the very first Paper Players challenge, I created this card, which was selected as the very first Headliner. Check out the Winners Post
Yep, the Paper Players will always hold a special place in my heart. So come on…won’t you celebrate with us? This very special challenge will run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to get inky. It’s time to play with The Paper Players!!!
