Can you believe it? The Paper Players are celebrating their 400th challenge! As a former Design Team member, I am so proud to have been asked to create a card this week. What better way to celebrate than with a watercolored platypus! I hope you enjoy today’s card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Doesn’t this adorable little platypus, from the new Postcard Pals stamp set, look like he’s inviting everyone to celebrate? Stampin’ Blend markers were used to color everything except the blue shadow around him. For that, I used Balmy Blue ink and a Blender Pen.

And speaking of celebrating, the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday set seemed perfect for this week’s challenge.
Keeping with the celebration theme, I added a single balloon, punched from Mango Melody Designer Paper and held in place with a Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine string.
A watercolored platypus is not the only watercolored card I have made for The Paper Players. Eight years ago, for the very first Paper Players challenge, I created this card, which was selected as the very first Headliner. Check out the Winners Post here.
Yep, the Paper Players will always hold a special place in my heart. So come on…won’t you celebrate with us? This very special challenge will run for two weeks, so you have plenty of time to get inky. It’s time to play with The Paper Players!!!
