The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

LeAnne’s sketch was right up my alley. With its layers, it was perfect for showing off the beautiful Moonlit Flora paper. I love the organic vibe of this paper, with its dark, moody backgrounds and “pops” of bright colors. To add even more interest, I die cut small white flowers using the Fern & Flora dies. Of course, I had to add a healthy dose of rhinestones for sparkle. Spotlight on Nature dies and a 1-3/4″ circle punch were used to create the decorative sentiment circle. The sentiment is from the Phrases & Frames set. It was hand snipped and popped up onto the Secret Sea circle. Once again, rhinestones were used for sparkle. Yep! This was yet another card where the paper did the work. Lazy Ann strikes again! I can’t wait to send this one winging through the mail!

  2. Joanne James - The Crafty Owl

I was laughing so much I struggled to get beyond the title of your blog post this week Ann – seriously though, with paper as beautiful as that it would be a crime not to showcase it!!!

  3. There’s that glorious dsp again and you’ve used it perfectly for this sketch, Ann! I agree with LeAnne, you’re smart to let such gorgeous paper take center stage. It has such a beautiful forest floor look to it with the ferns and dark background, yet the moth and the flowers brighten things up so nicely. Love this!

  4. Why would you work so hard making a card when you can delegate the work to the paper? It’s a great layout for so many dsp designs like that. Very pretty!

  5. I don’t know about LazyAnn – more like CleverAnn to recognise the beauty of the paper and being chill enough to let it do the work! A great showcase of that wonderful DSP and a lovely interpretation of the sketch too. 🙂

  6. Christy Stanford

I have absolutely been letting that gorgeous paper do the work on various sketches too, Ann! You got your card done before me this week so I had to choose a different DSP 😉 I love your Moonlit Flora card, this sketch is perfect for showcasing that beautiful paper. Have a wonderful week!

  7. LeAnne Pugliese

I think you are “smart Ann” to let the paper do the work—I did too! LOVELY use of these gorgeous papers and the white circle makes that sentiment pop!

  8. Jeena Huntzinger

Oh, wow! What great touches to add to the already gorgeous card! The flowers, butterflies and rhinestones set this card apart! And I don’t think you’re lazy!

  9. Claire Broadwater

Ann, this is just amazing. I LOVE this DSP and this card is perfect for the sketch. I laughed at your lazy Ann comment! No need so try to upstage this paper. It certainly does all the work! Have a fabulous week, My Friend!

  10. Bonnielee McGuire

Stunning! I love the way the circle brings out the flowers and the background.

  11. Beautiful color combo and style.
