Just A Note and Honey, Too PP786

I love making “Just A Note” cards. By selecting the perfect sentiment for inside the card, “Just A Note” cards become so versatile. I could wish someone a happy birthday, wish them good luck, let them know I have been thinking of them, and so much more. It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Just a Note and Honey, too

This week I am hosting our Clean and Simple challenge with the fun theme of “Food”. For my card, I selected none other than the adorable Winnie the Pooh and his sweet collection of honey jars. The “Foodie” in me can’t wait to see what you create! Ā But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some ā€œComment Loveā€. It brightens our day!Ā  Just remember it is Clean and Simple week. Make sure your creations meet the following criteria:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper collection was my “go-to” paper today. A diamond pattern sporting Golden Glow mid-century starbursts was layered onto a Very Vanilla panel which had been embossed using the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder. Just look at that beautiful texture! Pooh and his honey jars were snipped from another one of the delightful Silly Old Bear patterns. Peaceful Pines ribbon, plus a bow, covered the interface between the two layers. All that was needed to complete the card was a sentiment, inked in Pecan Pie, and a trio of Peaceful Pine In Color Dots. Easy peasy! This one will receive a happy birthday sentiment on the inside and will soon be winging its way to Florida!

  1. Ann, Pooh was one of my favorite bears. Along with Paddington and Baloo. I love his collection of honey pots. I love the embossed background, too. Such a wonderful card and one that made me smile and brought back memories.

  2. Ann, this card tugs at my heartstrings! I loved everything Pooh growing up and still do. Such a delightful card and I do like the flexibility of the sentiment you used. The embossing and the patterned paper cap things off with all that texture and design. Such a pretty card!

  3. Such a sweet card

  4. Christy Stanford

Such an adorable card, Ann. I can hear Winnie the Pooh singing a lullaby to the bees from one of the Disney movies, ha! This was such a fun theme to work with this week and I had about a zillion different ideas percolating in my head for it, so thank you for that extra burst of creativity. I made two cards but could easily have made dozens more if I had unlimited craft room time. Have a wonderful week!

  5. Bonnielee McGuire

    Adorable!

  6. Joanne James - The Crafty Owl

Pooh bear and honey – the perfect combination! Beautifully paired with that floral embossed panel and a touch of green ribbon to tie everything together. Gorgeous – and a fun challenge this week!

  7. Sigh… wonderful. Who doesn’t love Winnie the Pooh? And all that glorious hunny. šŸ™‚

  8. LeAnne Pugliese

Oh, I just love this little image of Pooh….such “sweet” childhood memories of him and his honey! That embossing folder is my new favorite too! Lots of sweetness going on here!

  9. Jeena Huntzinger

Winnie the Pooh is one of my all time favorite characters, and I’m definitely adding this card of yours to my CASE list!

  10. Your card is lovely in its simplicity. I’m not a Winnie the Pooh fan but I love him on this card.

  11. Claire Broadwater

HUGE SMILE!!!!!! This card is adorable!!!!! I love the embossed background and the DSP at the bottom. That little Pooh Bear with all his honey stole my heart. The color combo and the bow are perfect. This is such a fun challenge, Ann! I hope you have the BEST week, My Friend!
