Floral Congratulations

Summer marks the beginning of a season of congratulations: Weddings, graduation, anniversaries! What could be better than a floral congratulations card that can be customized with the lucky recipient’s favorite colors! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.

This week, the talented Stef is hosting our monthly color challenge. Stef is the BEST when it comes to colors, and she has a delightful trio of hues for us: Peach, Light Blue and Green. I used Peach Pie, Balmy Blue and Old Olive. I can’t wait to see what shades you use!

colors for floral congratulations

Today’s floral congratulations card features a sweet image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set. Stampin’ Blends were used for the coloring. For the petals I used Peach Pie and Pumpin Pie, while Old Olive was used for the leaves. The centers of the flowers were colored Daffodil Delight and given a lovely shimmer by using Clear Wink of Stella. The wonderful thing about this stamp set is that it comes with coordinating dies. How easy is that? Of course, I LOVE layers and texture, and this card has an ample supply of both. Two of my favorite embossing folders, the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder and the retired Crosshatch pattern from the Basics 3D embossing folder collection, are responsible for the lovely texture on the card base and inside the Peach Pie frame. The frame was die cut using the Gallery Blooms dies. I know I will be using these frame dies often. Beautiful Bokeh designer paper has a lovely shade of Balmy Blue. I used it and the Spotlight on Nature dies to die cut a circle to serve as a backdrop for the flowers. In case you are wondering about the source of the sentiment, it is from the May 2025 Paper Pumpkin kit. I absolutely love the font. What better way to finish off this card than with five Brushed Brass Butterflies!

Love these sweet florals, and everything else that you put with it! Great elements, great textures, great embellishments, great coloring! Just beautiful!

  3. How elegant this is! I think it’s the dark frame and dark border around the central element that does it, along with the clean verticals from the embossing folder. Everything leads the eye to those pretty flowers. Love the butterflies too. 🙂

What a lovely card Ann!!! These colors are absolutely delightful together. How’s Nueve doing?

Ann… you didn’t mention the corrugated back paper… that is pretty cool as is those brass butterflies! I didn’t catch them in the first photo but the second photo really makes them shine.

  6. Joanne James - The Crafty Owl

Pairing these flowers with the embossed layers and frame give them a fresh and modern feel rather than the more vintage vibe they often have. Loving the layers (and I forgot to tell you how much I am loving that new corrugated EF – so thanks for enabling me lol!) Such a pretty card Ann.

  7. I’m so glad you like these colors, Ann – you created a stunning card to show them off! I love that peach frame and the added texture with the embossed center, along with the crimped background. I don’t know why, but the soft blue stripes that mean summer to me. And lastly, your gorgeous flowers top everything off so beautifully. Love this to pieces!

  8. Beautiful card Ann. Love how you used the colors to make your card. The details and layers all work together perfectly.

Ann, this is so pretty! I love the striped background and the Secret Sea really makes the panels pop. The embossing and little brass butterflies add so much detail Your flowers are colored perfectly and Wink of Stella is the perfect finishing touch! A little shine makes everything happier!
