Clean And Simple Fruit Card

A cluster of oranges and blossoms grace the front of a Clean and Simple “Fruit” card. The image is so lovely – I can I almost smell the blooms and taste the sweetness. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.

Clean and Simple Fruit

This week, sweet Claire is hosting our monthly Clean and Simple challenge. Her theme: Fruit! This was such a fun challenge for me and my clean and simple fruit card came together quickly. I can’t wait to see what YOU create. But remember, this is a CLEAN and SIMPLE challenge.  Before you run off to gather your stamps, papers, and inks, keep in mind that when The Paper Players use the term “clean and simple”, we mean cards that:

Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

I love Stampin’ Up!’s Mediterranean Blooms designer series paper, especially the pattern featuring these oranges. When I saw Claire’s challenge, I knew I wanted to feature them. A piece of Basic White paper was embossed with the retired Crosshatch embossing folder. I then matted it onto Lemon Lolly cardstock and layered it onto a “frame” I created with Garden Green cardstock and the retired Stitched So Sweetly dies. The Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder was used to give bold texture to the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the fussy cut oranges to the panel. The “hello” sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. A trio of green rhinestones I found in my stash adds the perfect bit of sparkle.
