Hello cards are a perfect way to keep in touch with friends and family. When they are as easy to make as today’s hello card in red, black and gray, there is no excuse for not having several on hand! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
This week the fabulous Jaydee is hosting our monthly color challenge. She has selected Black, Gray, Red and White for us. What an elegant combination, don’t you agree? I went with gray and red floral die cuts. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
The Stippled Roses dies did the bulk of the work on this card. Leafy stems of Basic Gray are accented with Real Red blossoms. Deckled rectangles add interest, as does the dry embossing. Of course, rhinestones add the perfect bit of bling without overpowering the delicate little flowers. Because I wanted the leaves and flowers to be the focal point, I used a smaller sized sentiment. The Wonderful Thoughts stamp set and coordinating die filled the bill perfectly.

Beautiful card! The colors look great together!!!
Ann, I just love the embossed frame and the die you used is perfect! The gorgeous red florals just pop! Such an elegant card! I love it!
Such a beautiful card. I really love these colors together.
Lovely card. Pretty flowers, great texture on the background.
I love the detail on these florals Ann – along with the deckle edges and hatched embossed frame, it makes for a pretty, elegant card. Lovely!
Ann… Gorgeous florals… absolutely love the simplicity!
Beautiful card and such a lovely color combination and layout.
Enjoy your day and hugs to them 4 legged babies.
It is an elegant color combination and your card is equally elegant, Ann! All the texture and layers of deckle die cut layers, along with that beautiful floral branch are just gorgeous together. I agree that hello cards are so versatile and I’m trying to do better at sending them to friends and family. Beautiful card!
How elegant is this! The Stipppled Roses might be doing ‘the work’ in the card but it was you who did all the rest: the sweet Deckled Rectangles, the subtle texturing in the background, the just-right layering. Gorgeous!
Love those bold red flowers, and the embossed background is just the right touch!
Ann, gorgeous use of the colors. I love the texture and the deckled edge and how they beautifully frame your red and grey florals. Such a wonderfully elegant take on the challenge colors. Thank you for rocking my challenge
hugs
jaydee
