This week sweet Claire is hosting our monthly Clean and Simple challenge. What a great theme she has for us: Sports – Show Your Team Spirit!
I went with a design that can be easily personalized with your team’s school colors and with your school mascot. This is such a fun challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create. But before you run off to gather your stamps, papers, and inks, remember that when The Paper Players use the term “clean and simple”, we mean cards that:
Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

As an Iowa Hawkeye fan, I created my card using the University of Iowa school colors, with Herky the Hawk taking center stage. But the wonderful thing about this card is that it can be made in any school color and with any school mascot. And it is quick and easy! You can purchase most major mascot images online. Mine was purchased a few years ago off Etsy, but there are free options available, too. I simply printed him off on cardstock and fussy cut him out.

Of course you had my attention with this card coming off a big win yesterday. I never thought to look for images to print out and use. I have some stickers and a Tiger Hawk stamp. Crushed curry is a perfect color to use. A great simple idea to use for any mascot for a great simple styled card with great impact. Love it.
