“Thank you for lighting the way” is a beautiful sentiment. My intended recipient has done just that for me, and I want her to know how thankful I am. She is my beacon in the darkness who happens to LOVE any shade of pink. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week it is time for our monthly Clean and Simple challenge and I have the honor of hosting. I selected the theme of “Don’t Bug Me!” It’s a silly theme because I really DO want you to “bug” me – your creation needs to feature any type of insect. Mine features lightning bugs. But before you run off to gather your stamps, papers, and inks, remember that when The Paper Players use the term “clean and simple”, we mean cards that:
Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
From the moment I saw the Lighting My Way bundle, I knew I would own it someday. The stamp set captured my attention because of its sentiment, while the dies are absolutely fabulous. This lantern is gorgeous when die cut from Distressed Gold while the lightning bugs have such wonderful detail. And you want to know the best thing about today’s card? It’s easy!

Love the fab details on your card, Ann! from the subtle pop of texture to the distressed metallic lantern, to those FABULOUS pink lightning bugs…you hit it out of the park for sure!
Ann, great theme this week. I love that you used the glitter paper for the lantern and the unexpected pop of pink is gorgeous
hugs

Absoluty gorgeous card 🤩 congrats
Have a great day
Ann, I loved your theme choice this week – and your choice of bug. The first time I ever saw lightning bugs was a summer many years ago spent in Indiana with my dad’s relatives. I was mesmerized! We don’t have them on the west coast. Your card with its brass lantern is great!
What a fun theme challenge, and what a fun card you’ve created! I LOVE the colors you chose…that lantern is fabulous and who wouldn’t love pink lightning bugs! Adorable!
Ann, I love your card. I have such fond memories of catching lightning bugs with my brother and sister. In the South they call the “Fireflies.” Your lantern, embossed background and the pink bugs are so fun! Great challenge idea!
Beautiful card, beautiful thought.
Ann, Your card is lovely. That paper is perfect for the lantern, I’m adding that to my next order. This set is a favorite, I have fond memories of catching fireflies. Suzy
I love your lantern card! Love all the textures that make your card even more illuminating . . . just a bit of word play there! 😉
Ann this is just fabulous! I love the diecut lantern in that gold paper, it adds so much texture and shine and your trio of pink lightening bugs is so eye-catching!
