Enjoy the rhythm of each day! What a wonderful way to begin the morning! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, the sweet LeAnne has a wonderful theme challenge for us – A Song Is in the Air. Our goal is to create a card with music as the theme. Both dry and heat embossed music notes grace today’s card. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Paper steals the show today! Beautiful Gold and Soft Succulent Fine Shimmer paper add a soft sheen and coordinate perfectly with the stunning Dry Brushed Metallic specialty paper. Because I did not want to detract from the paper, I opted to use simple music notes for the musical theme. I inked the music notes from the Sweet Songbird set in Soft Succulent ink, followed by Versamark ink, and randomly stamped over the Gold circle. Next, I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The look is amazing in person. The Merry Medley 3D embossing folder provides even more music notes on a Soft Succulent cardstock panel. Gold sequins and a fancy bow are the only embellishments needed.

Nueve’s Notes
Hi, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! I’ve been playing show dog. Last week I was in Ill-of-Noise. This week, Mom, Dad, Sixxy and I are in IndyAnna. Both Sixx and I got ribbons. Woo hoo! I did really good. Lots of people said I looked “hands some”. I think that’s a good thing. I know it’s a good thing when Mom hands some “Roberta Cookies” to me.
Mom tried to get a picture of me looking hands some in the show ring, but she was clear across the ring, and didn’t get a very good picture. It was really cold where we were, and it snowed 6 inches. That means it came way up on my legs. But Mom bought me a new coat to keep me warm. Michelle said it made me look hands some. I like it when she hands some chicken to me. She does that when I am in the show ring,
My sister, Sixxy got a ribbon, too. But she didn’t get a new coat like me. She already has a pink coat with brown pokie dots on it. I don’t know why they are called pokie dots. They don’t poke. In fact, Sixxy’s coat is really soft. Anyway, she DID get a new toy. It’s a big bone shaped squeaky toy. She used it as a pillow when she took her nap. She was really cozy in her house. She fluffed up her blankies and snuggled up with her squeaky pillow toy.
As for me, I did not take a nap. My mom got me out of my crate, and I got to sit in her lap. Later, I roamed around our set up and visited with everyone. They even let me eat some of their snacks! I know they wanted me to have some Chex Mix, because nobody said a word when I buried my head in the bag. It was SO good, I licked my lips!
Yep, as always, making people laugh is just part of my job. I’m a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Hello, Ann! I love ginghams and plaids too and I love your card! You Stampin’ Up ladies always have an edge with all of the pretty printed papers. Thanks for selecting 4 such pretty colors for us to play with this week!
Xoxo, Fran
PS: Great idea, naming a new puppy Neuve!
Love the soft and serene colors, Ann. The little pop of embossing is the perfect detail. So much to love about this card!
Ann, such a pretty card. I love all the textures and layers. That paper is beautiful.
Ann, fabulous color combination – it’s so soft and serene. I also love that sentiment and the layout is fabulous. Gorgeous card and huge congrats to the babies on their ribbons!!!
hugs
jaydee
That paper is gorgeous and I love the green and gold combo; so calming and elegant at the same time. I love that the embossing and notes and sentiment fit with the theme, without being overtly musical (i.e. no instruments). As for those dogs – what a pair of charmers! That Nueve is hans-some indeed!
Ann, this is a beautiful sentiment and card, but WOW! those dogs! I’m really missing our old yellow lab these days but have been busy fostering cats, so it will be a while before a new dog arrives. I love how involved you are with your show dogs! It’s a lot of work that looks like it’s paying off.
Very pretty card 🤩👏👏👏💐 happy day
What a great color combination for such a lovely card.
Nueve; Congratulations to you and your sister on winning ribbons.
What an exciting day it must have been for you; winning a ribbon and getting a new coat besides. You look very handsome. You had snow to play in and we had ice in Texas to slide on. Was cold down here as well.
Love the colors and that sentiment!!
Stunning color choices! TFS
Ann, this card is gorgeous and this color combo is amazing! I love this DSP! That little ribbon is just perfect to showcase this fabulous sentiment! This is a favorite of mine!!!! You certainly made LeAnne’s challenge shine! Have a great week! I love all the pictures of the babies, too!
Awesome card! I love all of the layers. Great color combination! Please tell Nueve that he looks really “hand some” in that beautiful new coat! And he always writes such a wonderful tale for us. His use of the English language is so fun
Wow! Terrific card, Ann. I love it when I’m looking at your cards and my mind says—I’ve got that! I could use this! I know I’ve got some of that! Yours is beautiful and gives me something to aspire to accomplish. Nueve and Sixxy appear to have the same goals—good for them and for you. Love their stories!
Wowza, Ann! I love all your cards but this one takes the cake! I couldn’t wait to comment on it! That shimmery Soft Succulent paper is really beautiful–I totally spazzed on that in the catalog, I am going to have to take a better look at it! Everything is just beautiful! Thanks for rocking my challenge!
Great card. I am assuming you are sending it to Brady, I think he will love it! All those great details. Love it! Oh Nueve, his coat will go with his photo with Michelle with the Aztec look and colors. So handsome. Had to smile at the Ill-of-Noise and Indy-Anna. Great job everyone!
I think your card is beautifully crafted with the music…especially the use of the notes from Songbird. Nueve’s tale and tail are sweet as well. TFS.
Nueve; so glad hearing about the ribbons . . . you and your sister Sixxy did a great job. I would be competition for you concerning Chex Mix !!! Let me tell you do look hand some with your coat. Your parents must be so proud of you
Magnificent, Ann. The first thing that caught my eye was the upper right hand corner of the background paper and it looked to me like a map. From there on in the whole card was like a vacation full of bright spots – so many layers and textures and color and oh wow the bow! Fantastic! And Nueve’s new coat – holy wow! I wish I could hands some stuff to him, and his beautiful sister!!
