You Are Such A Blessing

“You are such a blessing” is a sentiment we should never hesitate in telling our friends and family.  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players.

You Are Such A BlessingIt’s Tic Tac Toe week, and the mega-talented Anne Marie has created one of the best grids ever for our stamping fun! I selected the diagonal consisting of yellow &/or orange, texture, and Fall/Thanksgiving.  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Sometimes all a picture needs to make it shine is a fabulous frame.  Sometimes all a card needs to pull all the parts together is a Fabulous Frames die cut! This Cajun Craze frame serves as an anchor to ground all of the parts of this fun fall vignette.  Placing the pumpkin on the frame itself certainly adds depth and dimension.  Pearls and a linen thread bow are the perfect finishing touches.

Nueve’s Notes

Hey, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! Mom said that by the time you are reading this, I would be on my way home from Washi-ton, and my ‘venture would be over. As much as I LOVED meeting my brother, Brady the Boy, and my Auntie Kia, it will be nice to get back home to see sister Sixxy and Uncle GQ.

We did so much on our last days there.  We went to a place called Whidbey Eyeland.  To get there, I had to ride on a fairy. I was wondering how I would ever fit on a fairy, but Mom explained it was a “ferry” boat.  It was gray and rainy, so I stayed in the van.  It was kind of scary, because you couldn’t see the land, just lots of water.

Once we got to the eyeland, we hiked down to the beach.  I actually stepped in water that connects to the Pawcific Oshun. It was bigger than the Missy Pibby Ribber! Can you believe it?

Mom didn’t get very many pictures of us on the eyeland, because she left her phone in the van.  Silly Mom!  The next day we went to Bridle Trails State Park and went hiking. This is my brother, Brady the Boy, ahead of me. His friend, Korin, is in the lead with Auntie Kia.  Auntie Kia gets to go first because she is the Alpha out here, just like sister Sixxy is the Alpha at my house.  Alphas are very special, and you must always be respectful to them.

We saw beautiful trees. They were SO big.  Even the leaves are bigger out here.  Here is a picture of a leaf I found. I gave it to my Mom. She took a picture so she could remember it forever.

I also saw my first horse. This one followed me down the hill, and scared me a little. It is bigger than a Great Dane, and has the strangest bark.  His owner was very nice, and told me I didn’t need to run away. I’ve decided I want a pony for Christmas.

On our last Sunday here, we went to see Lake Washi-ton. It was so pretty, that Mom and I took lots of pictures. Then Mom realized that she didn’t have any make-up on.  I don’t wear make-up when I play show dog, so I think it’s OK that she didn’t wear any.

I love my Mom even when she doesn’t have make-up on. Loving is part of my job.  I am a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

  1. Gorgeous Ann! A beautiful mix of color, pattern and detail. Wow!

  2. Gorgeous card as usual!!! Love the sentiment!

  3. Beautiful fall card, Ann! I like how you arranged the pumpkin, flowers, and sentiment banner, and that swirly patterned paper for the background is lovely. I’m a longtime scrapbooker and I’m *still* a sucker for any patterned papers that have plaid, stars, or swirls, no matter how big my collection already is! Glad you had a good time in Washington. I’ve been to Whidbey Island before, it’s beautiful.

  4. Good Boy Nueve, I’m so happy you liked visiting the great Pacific NorthWET. We Left Coasters know how special it is, even when it’s raining. Yes, the Pacific Ocean is bigger than the Missy Pibby Ribber! We don’t swim in it much because it’s too chilly but there are whales out there, so we watch them instead of swimming. Your mom is beautiful without make up and she makes beautiful cards, too.

  5. What a great fall card! I never know what to do with that swirly DSP but you managed to make it work perfectly with this pretty framed picture! Glad you’re on your way home! And BTW, I could see the beginning pictures…but not the one of you without your makeup! LOL!

  6. Beautiful card and loved the adventure stories.

  7. Ann, this card is gorgeous! I love the sentiment and the beautiful pumpkin filled with all those pretty flowers! The mix of papers are perfect and shout Fall. I love all your travel pictures and your adventures with Nueve! Have a great week, My Friend!

  8. I love that sentiment too Ann – perfect for your flower-filled pumpkin and all that lovely autumn colour. Safe travels for the rest of your journey home!

  9. Oh Ann that card is so vibrant and beautiful. You are certainly a blessing in my life! I couldn’t see any of the pictures except the last few – don’t know why. Thanks for sharing. Peace

    • Eek! I’ll have to check it out when we get to the motel tonight. We are on Day 2 of the 4 day trek home, and all I have is my cell phone to try and fix it. But, try I will!

  10. “You are a blessing” . . . what a beautiful sentiment!!!
