Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party! What fun colors for a “Dear Friend” card! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
It’s time for our monthly color challenge, and this week the amazingly talented and super sweet LeAnne is our host. She selected Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Basic White for us. What a fresh and fun trio of colors for summer! While I opted to create a floral Dear Friend card, I can’t wait to see what YOU create. I know your ideas will be fabulous!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Summer, for so many of us, is a crazy time of year. Ball games, pool parties, reunions, and a multitude of outdoor activities fill our schedules. It can get pretty hectic, and time for stamping can become limited. But, today’s card really is quick and easy. AND by switching out the sentiment, it is very versatile, too! Even if today’s challenge colors are not your cup of tea, just switch them out for colors and patterns of your choice, although I think you are going to LOVE playing with today’s fun and fresh trio! One little tip with today’s layout, which will allow you to use so many different patterns, is to layer your die cut on the coordinating “shadow” or mat, and then “pop” it up with dimensionals. It will really stand out.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, everyone! It’s me Nueve! I’m so excited! I got an “all lowance” from my good friend, Roberta! She lives across the Missy Pibby Ribber. I wasn’t sure what an “all lowance” was exactly, but Mom said it was money for being a good boy. Mom said we could go the pet store after she was done working, and I could spend my “all lowance” on my favorite treats. Mom didn’t say it was going to take forever to get her work done. I spent some time watching people out my window, and leaving “nose art” on the glass for Mom. I know Mom loves my nose art, because she cleans the window every day so I can do it all over again.
I think Mom felt sorry for me because it was taking her so long. She gave me a chewie to chew on while I waited patiently. I love chewies, but Mom doesn’t let me have them all the time. She said I have to be “super-eyed” with them. That means she has to keep an eye on me so I don’t decide to swallow it. When I’m done with the chewie, Mom has to wipe my nose and my legs ’cause they get chewie stuff on them. I don’t like having my nose scrubbed as much as I do chewing, though.
I was able to get a big bag of my favorite cookies. Mom said they smell good enough for her to eat. I would share with her, but these are cookies for being a good boy, and she’s a girl. Plus, I think they are only for working dogs, and that’s me! I’m a working dog! I am Good Boy Nueve! Here’s me working hard at playing!

Ann, I love this plaid – especially with the white flowers and that wonderful sentiment. Another fabulous card
hugs

Such a gorgeous card to showcase the challenge colors, Ann! That spot of sparkly ribbon is a fun touch, too.
I love the way you used Tahitian Tide as the main color because the white in the die cut stands out so beautifully in contrast. That bit of ribbon is perfect!
This is such a great ‘standby’ card Ann – a great design that can work in lots of colours and with lots of sentiments. Nueve is certainly enjoying his chewie, bless him – he is so worthy of a cookie treat!
Beautiful card, Ann! Your die cut flowers look so crisp and clean in white.
You have created such a fun and fresh card here, Ann! Love those dies…you’ve inspired me to get them out and play with them a little bit! That plaid DSP is a perfect background too! And Nueve…he’s a crafty little guy, giving you that special nose art every day!
Oh, that Nueve does steal the show! Such a handsome, sweet boy!
I love your beautiful card. The technique is very helpful. Such a clever idea! Have a great week, My Friend!
Ann, this is so bright and cheerful! Love how you combined all the DSP, especially behind the sprig of flowers-too cute! Great job with the color combo! Have a great week!
Oh Nueve, so happy you got to go to the pet store! You are such a big helper! I look forward to your happenings every week! Love the card your mom made for us! She always inspires me with ideas! She’s awesome!
Thanks for starting my Sunday off with a smile. He IS one handsome brown eyed boy. I really enjoy and look forward to his “posts”. And as always you’re card is lovely. Be blessed.
Oh my goodness, Ann, you always know how to “hit the spot”. I am not a fan of blue but have always loved the combination of blue and green, just something about it – wonderful card! And Nueve, how I love his posts. What a perfect song too! Hope all is well. Hugs.
Brown eyed handsome man, yes, that’s you working-dog Nueve! Oh, Ann, he is so precious. I continue to love the Paper Players, not only for the beautiful cards you make but knowing there will be a story from your boy! You’re right, LeAnne is the sweetest…so are you!! Have a blessed day
