There is something about today’s floral hello card, in shades of pink and sand, that is so calming and soothing. Maybe it’s the vintage vibe, with the its collage style. Maybe it’s the delicate flowers on the paper, or the soft colors, or the adorable heart-shaped pearls. Whatever it is, it makes the soul happy! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, the talented Laurie is hosting our monthly theme challenge. She has selected the theme of “Green Thumb”. How fun is that! Plants, flowers, foliage, gardening and more are all fair game. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
For today’s challenge, I opted to go the floral route, showcasing this beautiful paper available FREE during Sale-A-Bration. It’s part of the Wonderful World bundle, which also includes a lovely stamp set. While I could have used one of the images included in the free set, I decided to use the Ranunculus Romance stamp set. Along with its coordinating dies, Ranunculus Romance is perfect for creating a vintage, collage look. Die cut stems in Distressed Gold, along with heart pearls and a linen thread bow, add an elegant, shabby chic feel to the card.

For every card which has been posted on my blog since 2019, there is a free tutorial.

Nueve’s Notes
Hi, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! I’ve been a very busy boy these last few weeks. I’ve been to two dog shows, and won more pretty ribbons with my friend, Michelle.
Mom said I look so big and grown up in this picture. This judge was really nice. I like her. There was another judge who scared me, though. She had a thing on her head. Mom called it a hat. She also had a really floppy skirt that blew all over the place. After we got home from the show, my mom went to the Goodwill store and bought a hat, big dark glasses for her eyes, and a dress that was long and floppy. She said she couldn’t wear the dress anywhere except the backyard, but she liked the hat.
I had fun with Michelle. We climbed up on a little bridge, and had our picture taken. She was trying to balance my pretty ribbons on the bridge. I was concerned they would blow off into the water.
My mom had to climb out in the middle of this little creek and stand on a rock to get my picture. My mom is silly that way.
This was a fun place to show. We were outside, and even though it was very hot, and even though it rained really hard one day, it was still fun. It was in a place called Minny Swota.
Here is another picture with some more of my pretty ribbons. This place wasn’t as pretty as Minny Swota. I had to show in a pig barn. It was really, really hot, and my tongue wouldn’t stay in my mouth. But, Michelle said that was OK, and that I was still very handsome. I love Michelle.
Showing is hard work. It’s always fun to get back to the motel and take a nap with my favorite squeaky ball. My mom makes sure the motel bed is covered with an old sheet from home, just in case I’m “lergic” to the soap the motel uses to wash their blankies in. She also thinks I need a new, clean squeaky ball. But, this one is my favorite and she can’t find another one just like it.
Well, it’s time for me to get busy. I have to help my mom make lunch. Working. It’s what I do. I’m a working dog! I am Good Boy Nueve!
On a Personal Note: Please keep my sister and our family in your thoughts and prayers. In addition to suffering a heart attack, she received a devastating medical diagnosis that caught all of us by surprise. We are struggling with the prognosis and what the future holds. Sometimes my heart just isn’t into stamping or answering emails. Nueve has been a blessing, and in the unexplained wisdom of animals, he knows how to dry my tears and bring a smile to my face…
